My discovery of Calle 13 "El aguante"

Calle 13 is a Hispanic rap group which I recently discovered through my husband. On our honeymoon to San Francisco we ended up listening to a Shakira CD and on that CD there was a song where Shakira featured Calle 13. My honest first reaction to that was speechless because of the way they said things.

My husband then told me that he really liked that group and that they are the type of band that just says things straight out and so I looked up a couple of their songs. I found out they have many songs that are sexual, but they also have many songs that speak the pure truth. So therefore I wanted to give you guys a translation of my favorite song I have heard from them. Okay, it might not be full translation because the song is really long, but you guys get the point. This song is about how humans can endure.

But anyway, I just love Maroon 5, they're songs are awesome, and I just can't stop listening to them.....

Country music♥

I have completely and deeply fallen in LOVE with something called COUNTRY MUSIC!!!!!!!!!! I love it, I absolutely love it!!! I can't believe I had gone many of my years saying that I didn't like country music..... You know I have a little example...
A little conversation that has happened more than once in my life:
Random Person: Hey, so what type of music do you like?
Me: Hmm... I like almost everything except country and metal
Random Person: Oh really? Me too!!

So why did I ever say that I didn't like country music? Because I had never realized that I had never really heard it before... I thought that country music was people with hats and guitars all the time, and that intimidated me and made me stay away from it. So how did I come across to it? Very interesting story, I believe that my little sister started me at first... With just one song, you want to know which one? All I want to do by Sugarland... ♫♪All I wana do oooh ooh oooh is looove yooouu! ♪ lol I love that song. Well my little sister introduced it to me, because her teacher had been showing them country music. When I first heard this song I loved it!! I thought to myself that it didn't sound like what I thought country music was...

After that I started listening to Need You Now by Lady Antebellum. Another song that I love!! ♫ I said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now!! ♪ I really like that song... lol After I discovered them I started listening to all their music and realized that I loved every-single-one of their songs... There was not one that I disliked.. At all! and that was so weird to me, because usually when I find a band or a singer there is at least one of their songs that I can't stand and that I skip when I am listening to it on my ipod... But that didn't happen with Lady Antebellum, it was the complete opposite, I had to replay their songs over and over and over again, and I wasn't getting tired of them.. and to this day I still don't get tired of them. :)I believe that I will always be able to listen to them unless they change their type of music or something...

So what happened next? Well I still told everyone that I didn't like country music because I still had the same impression from it than I did before because I had no idea that Lady Antebellum was a country band...
One day.... Hhahaha, I am getting the feeling that this is sounding more like a narrative.... lol I apologize... But I have a point.. I promise :) So bare with me for a while :) Please :)

One day I stumbled upon a channel... I was bored flipping through the channels and found this one... CMT I have no idea what it stands for... maybe country music something... lol anyway, I figured out that that channel was like MTV except in a country version... haha yeah I know, funny right? haha So I started watching it and now I discovered many many country bands and singers whom I love. I love them all, and I love all their songs! Honestly I do! :)

So, just because I, for some strange reason can't manage to keep the ideas of what I'm going to write, I'm going to write about some  music I've been listening to lately. This is all because all my good ideas slip away after a while or before I get a chance to get on a computer.... I know that I had many many ideas for posts, but they all flew away.... I am sorry, I guess all I can say is that next time I will try to get a hold of a computer before my idea leaves me. Ok?

Yay, I love the fact that he is singing by himself now, specially because he is so good. :-) I don't know if you've heard his song Just the Way You Are, I love it. I love the lyrics, it so sweet, and it makes me wish for someone to say things like to me, but oh well. Anyway, Bruno Mars rocks!! I liked him ever since Billionaire and Nothing on you. I personally liked Nothing on you better than Billionaire, but that is another story.I guess it must be because I really like B.O.B. too. Who knows.

Adam Lambert!

I don't know if you noticed, but in one of my last posts I mentioned Adam Lambert. Oh and that right now I am so in love with him. <3

I found out about him through my awesome cousin(Not the only one by the way)! I listened to his music for some time, and then one day, I just fell in love. ^o^ I mean it, I know, he's gay, yeah, I get that, but I really don't give a damn, plus I don't discriminate. I actually think that gay guys make the best of friends. :) Don't you think? I mean, if you are a girl, aren't they the best of listeners. Anyway, back to Adam Lambert<3, isn't he gorgeous!? ^o^

My cousin and I, well we have this thing for him. Well, not really, my cousin is way more into Lady Gaga than Adam Lambert, but yeah, you get the point.

My favorite Adam Lambert songs are 'For your Entertainment' and 'If I had you.' I could listen to those two songs all day if I wanted to. Now that I think about it, I think I did once. Oops. lol. I also like 'Whatya want from me.' Well, I think one can only talk about someone so much before annoying the person listening or in this case reading. You probably don't want to anything else about Adam Lambert, huh?

Well, back to the 'gay' subject, if I can. Ha ha, that sounds funny. Oh well, like I said earlier, I really don't discriminate, and I don't know why so many people do. Like those people that protest outside churches and places. Ugh, they can only make me so mad. Then I realize, they are not worth my anger. They are just different people that think differently, but they shouldn't go to that point. Well, I don't know, but you might be asking yourself, what if I am only saying this because I love Adam Lambert, and I can't be against him. OH NO!  Well, that is a fraction of the reason, but the biggest reason, is well, they are people just like everyone else, they just have different preferences, and there shouldn't be a problem with that. Should there? Nope, but that is just what I think.

K-Pop (CNBLUE)

I just very recently discovered K-pop, thanks to my friend who introduced me to it a couple days ago and oh, I've fallen in love.. lol... again...

Well, it all started when we were discussing ideas for the school newspaper. She said that it would be cool if we did an article on foreign music. I told her that it sounded like a great idea. Then she asked me if I had ever listened to K-pop, and I told her that not really. So then she started telling me many, many, many band names or singers and titles of songs. I thought, well I should listen to them, I've got nothing to lose. So, I went ahead and downloaded many songs. Some of the bands she told me about were:
CN Blue (which I love, specially a song called Love MV), big bang, 2ne, 1snsd, b2st, 2pm and shinee.

Sadly, I haven't had time to listen to most of them. However, I am in the process, and so far, I have already started to love CN Blue, and it was just the first I listened to. So, I really don't doubt that I will like the rest of them as well. :)
For now, I will listen to CN Blue <3
