How to Train Dragon 2

If you guys know me at all as a person you guys know that I secretly love cartoons! Anything from Despicable Me to Nemo. So, me being the little kid that I am I had to go watch How to Train a Dragon 2! If you guys have not seen the first one you guys definitely have to check it out! It is hilarious!

For those of you who don't know the gist of the story, which you should, but if you don't, here it is. How to Train a Dragon is a cartoon movie about Dragons! Cool Dragons if I may add. Just kidding, the story is about Vikings a long time ago who were in a sort of war with Dragons. The story is based around Hiccup(main character) and his friends. On the first movie they are at war with the dragons, but Hiccup eventually finds a way that he can befriend them and even ride them. Everyone in his island doesn't understand though, so he figures out a way to teach them about how to use dragons to their advantage. They eventually all learn how to ride and communicate with these amazing creatures and the story goes on. Everyone on the island eventually has their own dragon.

The sequel to this movie is a little bit different. The story begins with Hiccup and his friends, five years older and they live happily in the island full of dragon riders. Everyone, once again, has their own dragon. The plot of this story is that there is some Viking guy who is building a dragon army and is taking control of every single dragon he gets his hands on. Eventually taking over Hiccup's and his friends' dragons. The story goes on to many surprises, which I am not going to spoil. So if this sounds like something interesting, check it out. I'll link the trailer down below for How to Train a Dragon 2. Don't hesitate to watch it if it calls your attention. Besides, sometimes cartoon movies are meant to be for adults too..... (Your remember that one resident evil animated film, right?).

I believe that it is okay even for adults to watch cartoon movies, they not only make you smile but they rejuvenate your soul. Don't call me cheesy..... I am young at HEART and always will be.
Have a wonderful week,
Andy

A Twisted Review

My husband and I watched this show a couple of weeks ago on Netflix. It was so interesting and we were hooked from the first episode! If you guys would prefer to watch me talking about this video you guys can go ahead and look in our YouTube channel! If you guys don't know about that yet, you can read all about it here: Our New YouTube Channel. If you want to watch the video where I review this on video you can click here: A Twisted Review

Anyway, today I will talking about this very interesting show Manny and I watched. To begin with, this show is about a very twisted story. The plot is all over the place but that is what makes it interesting. The main character of this show is Danny and the story is about how he killed his aunt when he was young. During the pilot episode, the first five minutes is actually when he murders his aunt, the scene opens and he walks out to meet his two best friends and tells them that he had to do it. He admits to the crime and is sent to Juvi for about five years. When he is released he decides that he wants to go to the original high school he would have been at if he had never murdered his aunt. His two best friends, whose names are Lacey and Jo and at the school and he tries to approach them. Of course they freak out because he is a murdered and they blame him for their ruined childhood.

The show then revolves around secrets and mysteries that Danny carries with himself. You find out that things are really not what they seem they are and things change course multiple times. I just have to tell you guys the show is crazy twisted, seriously, you just never know what is going to happen.

I highly recommend it and you guys can watch it on Netflix, if you like the shows that keep you on your toes watch this one because you will for sure be on your toes! I assure you.

Have a nice Monday guys!

The Scary and the Supernatural

Ever since I was in middle school I have loved to write research papers. So I figured out I would write about things that intrigue me once in a while and do research. Like today I decided to research something a little bit more scary. The back ground of Supernatural.

I am sure at least one of the people that will read this post know what the show Supernatural is. I always wondered if what went on in the show had some sort of truth or original folklore. So I decided to research some of it. In this TV Show they talk about so many Supernatural things, Angels and Demons as well. I know there much history revolving around those two subjects so I figured that there has to be original folklore to all of the other things that they speak of. I mean, honestly I don't think they came up with all of those things out of the blue.

What I first encountered when I begun my research was that all of the stories that are used in the TV show have some sort of history and the show plainly just elaborates on the existing story behind the actual monsters that they are hunting. Many of the monsters they hunt are part of the folklore of different cultures and countries.

Demons
According to Supernatural: Demons are supernatural beings that were created by Lucifer after he fell from heaven. They are able to walk with humans and possess a human body with no difficulty. They are exorcised by Dean and Sam multiple times and can only be killed with specific weapons(The colt). Demons have rankings and some of them are more powerful than others.
History(AKA:Wikipedia): A demon is a spiritual entity that can be conjured and sometimes possibly controlled. These entities can possess a human body and can only leave after an exorcism. First time demons were mentioned in history was by Plato. They are feared because of the believe that they are able to possess living things.

Djin
According to Supernatural: A monster who can grant your wishes by plainly reading your mind. However, it isn't a good type of wish granting, this creature is evil and grants
History (Not wiki): Djinn are supernatural creatures from Islamic Mythology, and pre-Islamic Arabian Mythology. It is believed that they live in an unseen world or a parallel dimension. They are creatures that own free will and they can be evil, good or neutral. This creature is a creature that can resemble a common known Genie. Djinn are called up by people. However, during my research it was hard to come upon something that said that they grant wishes, just that they are genies.

Reapers
According to Supernatural: A reaper is a spirit who comes to take you away once it is your time to pass away. Once they are there to take you with them there is no way of stopping them unless you make a deal (For example with a crossroad demon). Spirits who refuse to go with the reaper become angry spirits.
History: Most commonly known as Grim Reapers, or Death. Since the 15th century Death has been described as a skeletal figure  carrying a scythe. Death shows up when your time is up and it is believed that he can sometimes cause death before it is your time. During my search I also saw that when people speak of the Grim Reaper, it is referred to it as just one.

Ghosts
Supernatural: Ghosts are unrestful spirits that are either confused or angry at their deaths. Sometimes they don't understand that they are dead. In multiple times, they sometimes re live their deaths, they are caught in a never ending loop of their death. The only way to kill a ghost is to salt their bones and burn them.
History: A spirit of a dead living creature that can appear or manifest themselves to the living. Ghosts are usually described as spirits that attach themselves to certain locations or people. Ghosts aren't just evil, sometimes ghosts can be confused and might not even realize that they have died. However, many times ghosts will become angry and become mischievous and even evil.

I am going to cut off this post here because I can keep going and it would just became an essay. If you guys want me to write more things like these let me know! I actually enjoyed writing this one. I am sure I can take requests and do a little research on things you guys want me to do.

Have a nice weekend guys,

Instructions not Included review

A couple of days ago I watched this movie. For those of you who have not heard of it, it is a movie that was directed and partially produced by a really famous Hispanic Comedian whose name is Eugenio Derbez. All of you Hispanic people that are reading this know who he is. Of course you do! Fun fact, Eugenio Derbez was 'Donkey's' voice in Shrek when the movie was translated to Spanish.

Anyway, Eugenio Derbez was also in the movie Under the Same Moon and if I am not mistaken he partially produced that one as well. The thing with Instructions not Included though, was that this movie premiered in US movie theaters and it was half in Spanish and half in English. Does that make sense? Well what I am trying to say is that there were sections of the movie spoken mostly in English and other parts in Spanish.

Back to the actual plot of this movie. This movie is about a man, Valentin, that lives in Acapulco (Eugenio Derbez). He spends most of his time seducing and sleeping with tourists that happen to come by to Acapulco. Soon he finds a woman from the US, Julie, and well he wastes no time to seduce her as well. Before you know it he has jumped to his next tourist. Twenty months after he had 'hooked' up with Julie, she shows up at his doorstep with a baby and claims that the baby is the product from the hook up they had 20 months ago. She tricks Valentin into keeping the baby and then she takes off back to the US. The movie then follows Valentin on his trip to the US to return the baby back to her mother but eventually he falls in love with the little girl and the movie then starts. That is as far as I will tell you because for you to get the true gist you must watch it. It really captures the essence of a loving father and the struggles that happen everyday without us being aware of them.

Warning: This movie made me cry, however, many other movies have made me cry before... But truthfully it is a movie worth watching. If you do get the chance, the movie is now on Netflix so if you have Netflix please check it out. It is a movie worth watching. Specially if you watch it with you family.

Have a wonderful Monday my friends,
Andy :)

Brick Mansions and how I feel about Paul Walker passing away

This past Saturday my husband and I went to watch Brick Mansions, the last movie that Paul Walker finished. One word: Ah-Mah-Ziiing!!!

We went to watch it Saturday night with some cousins and honestly before I walked in to the movie I had no idea what it was about, so I'll give the general gist to everyone who doesn't know so that they don't walk in clueless.

It is about a part of a city that is cut away from the city where many poor and supposedly "corrupt" people live, the government of the city builds a wall so that the "normal" people can't go in, the place inside the wall is known as Brick Mansions. Anyway, Paul Walker is a cop, of course, and he is set on a mission to retrieve a bomb that was hijacked from the government when they were passing through Brick Mansions, so he pretends that he is a criminal in order to get inside undercover. Then everything goes
down and I am not giving it away!! Go watch it!!

I felt like it was packed with action and its fair amount of comical relief. Paul Walker's co-star was amazing as well and they complemented each other on the film. I honestly enjoyed it very much and was happy to see a movie where Paul Walker did such an impact. By the way the film was dedicated to him. I was very sad when I found out that he died. He was doing so good in his career and you could tell he was just climbing up and up. It is such a shame that he died so young and early, he had so many things coming.

Point is, Brick Mansions was an amazing tribute to him and it portrays him at his fullest, check it out :)

Switched at Birth review

Today is TV Show or movie review and since I have successfully discussed Supernatural I decided I wanted to talk about another show of my liking. Switched at Birth. I don't know how many of you have heard of it but it is a really nice show, I remember seeing billboards everywhere at the malls when it first came out, but I never wanted to watch it, it just didn't captivate  my attention.

A couple of months after we got Netflix at home (Yes I am a very high Netflix fan, honestly I don't think I can live without it), I found it roaming through the Netflix selection, me and my husband decided to give it a try. I saw the first episode and I was hooked, my husband not so much. It could be because it is a more girly show. Anyway, I should give you a synopsis, but I am not going to kill it for you guys.

Naturally, this show is about two girls that get switched right after birth, a Hispanic girl and a Caucasian girl. The Hispanic, who's name is Bay, grows up with the other girl's family and vice versa. The other girl's name is Daphne. I can't remember how old they are when they find out they were switched but point is they find one another and their parents are upset both of the girls' parents want both the girls. Daphne is deaf by the way, this is one of the parts of this show that hooked me because there is a good amount of the show done just in hand language, don't let this stop you from watching it though, there are always subtitles!

Back on track, the TV show follows the two girls as the try to fit in their new lives and well things get intense with the clash of cultures. So you guys definitely have to check it out.

I loved it and I can't wait until more episodes are loaded onto Netflix,
Andy

I have become a Supernatural Fan

I started watching the series a couple of weeks ago and I am on the third season!

When I still lived with my parents my dad would watch Smallville without missing a single episode. Naturally, I would watch this too and was a fan of Smallville, up until all the new superheroes started showing up. I can't remember if Supernatural was before or after Smallville, but point is that I always thought that Supernatural was silly. "Too exaggerated," I told myself.... My dad of course thought the exact same thing so I never even bothered to check it out, or find out what is was about. Yeah, I know, can you blame me?!

Anyway, when I moved in with my boyfriend, who is now my husband, I found out that he was a fan of Supernatural. SHOCKER! However, he was on like the Seventh season and so nothing on the show made sense to me. I always walked out of the room so I could avoid being confused. One day, I actually sat down and saw an episode of this show. In this episode, one of the brothers was stuck in hell and an angel was helping him survive. I become intrigued!

A couple months later, this past February, I decided to give this show a chance and I started watching it from the first season and boy am I hooked!!! Honestly, I feel sad for myself because I never gave this show a chance before and I missed everything that was so good for the crappy Smallville! Okay, Smallville wasn't that crappy but honestly I think Supernatural is way better.

In case any of you guys are wondering I am on Dean's side.

GO DEAN!!!

Divergent Movie Review

Just saw this movie on the first!

I listened to the book on audible last year and I fell in love with the plot. My husband and I heard and when we found out a movie was coming out we went crazy. Just like with the Hunger Games, but honestly I liked this one better.

I think the cast is pretty much perfect, even though I imagined Four a little more older and Eric was a little different, other than that I loved the movie.

I liked the fact that the movie pretty much stayed close to the book and there was only a few changes. Well there were multiple twists on the movie but to be honest they made sense, unlike other movies where the plot takes a 360 degree turn to make sense, but this one was great. By the way Tris is pretty much portrayed amazingly ! So props to Shailene Woodly for her acting. I don't think I had seen her in another movie but if this was her first lead role she did awesome! Theo James is really goodlooking!! Just had to leave that out there before I end this.

Movies I have seen lately

Abduction with Taylor Lautner, interesting enough it was a good movie... I thought that it would be horrible because it is the Twilight wolf, and sadly I am not a fan of Twilight.. Haha! What am I saying!? Sadly?! Haha!! Gladly!! Anyway, it was a pretty good movie and I liked it, it reminded me of Shark Boy and Lava Girl.
Contagion was pretty sick!! Ha! One of my facebook friends put it that way! Ironic huh?And isn't Matt Deamon dreamy!!! I just love him!! XD

So yeah those are two movies I saw very very recently, they are both very good movies! I loved them! (=

Another movie I saw was Rise of the Planet of the Apes, which was awesome too!! Hahaha, a little sad, almost made me cry, but very good (:

So anyway, I think this is it.. If I see any others I will try to write a review.. XD Yes I know try... XD

Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger tides

I saw this movie last night!! It was awesome!!!! I want to watch it again!! I did miss Orlando though, but the movie was so well made, that throughout the film I completely forgot he had once had a role with this crazy pirate! (:

I recommend everyone to watch it! It was good, maybe not as good as some of the prior movies of the series but it came on very close! (: Also, Penelope Cruz did a magnificent acting job in the Pirate's movie. I've known her for quite some time, with her being of Spanish decent, I didn't have a clue that she could ever be a pirate, but she did her role and succeeded! Kudos to her(:

Jack SparrowImage via Wikipedia
For those who don't know what this movie is about.. Who am I kidding!? Everyone knows what this movie is about!!! Who doesn't know who the awesome Captain Jack Sparrow is?? Who doesn't love Johnny Depp!? Well I don't know... there probably are a couple Haters out there. Anyway, this Pirates movie is quite the shocker, there are many things that happen that I would have never imagined.

So watch it!!! It is an order!! Lol, just kidding. But really if you have to wait for it to come on DVD do so, but watch it (:

BallRoom Dancing :)

Hello,
Again lol :]
I have decided to start learning ballroom dancing, I will be learning it one way or another, but I will do it!! I will!
I will keep you posted on that :)
That is it,
Annie♥

SLumdog Millionare!!

So I recently saw this movie and allow me to tell you that I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best movie I have seen in a very long time, I can a sure you that.Slumdog Millionaire is one of the best movies I have seen in all my life, I won't have to watch it again to remember it perfectly. Plus I love Dav Patel <3 He is so cute!!! :)
Did you know that this movie won an Oscar for Best Picture, I can only tell you that it deserved that award. Not because I love it, or Dav Patel.. lol. but because it was a very good film, and it showed us a great lesson and it was just very well done :)
It almost made me cry at many moments of the movie. Well anyway, for those of you that have not seen it, check it out. This is a movie that I do recommend because I loved it. :)  Plus I love the soundtrack, Jai Ho <3 Makes me wanna dance all the time :)

So for those of you who don't know or have never heard about this movie I'll give you a little summary, written by me :) (not like those before when I used to copy lol)

The movie is practically about a game (I want to be a millionaire), in which a very common guy (Dav Patel) wins many rupees (India's money), and everyone thinks that he cheated so they take him to the police and ask him how he knew the answers without cheating. Turns out he only knew because of the rough life he had lived. He then goes on telling the part of his life that gave him the answer to every question. (SPOILER ALERT, SPOILER ALERT ^.^)
At the end you find that the only reason he came to the show was to find the girl of his dreams, because she watched this show. At the end she does and he guesses the last answer since that is the only he doesn't know. I will not tell you if he gets it right or not. lol
Watch it, I hope you all like it:)

Sucker Punch

Okay, so first thing... I was supposed to write this review a very long time ago and I just put it aside. So I apologize for that....
But I can still write it, somewhat, so I will....
First thing, this is not the best movie I have seen. They wasted very good acting into a movie that was not worth it.... Sadly, the girls participating here acted amazing, but the movie was just a piece of c***.
It is practically about a girl who is taken to an asylum because her stepfather was going to abuse of her little sister and so her sister dies and she ends up at this place. This is were the confusing kicks in because it suddenly turns into some kind of dance place, where guys come to see girls dance. The main character meets 4 girls and she embarks on this mission to get them out of there. Another thing, every time she dances everything turns into some sort of battle field... and she starts fighting this big monsters trying to succeed in the mission at hand which is to find each of the items that will give her freedom. I will not tell you the end because I don't want to ruin it for you. Plus, I already gave too much away.... lol
I do not recommend it though. So don't watch it, lol but you could if you want to :)

Have a nice day,
Annie♥

morning glory

First thing first, I should have written this post from a computer but i didnt so bare with me. So i just finished watching this movie: morning glory, and i have to say that it was a good movie, it motivated me in so many different ways. If youve seen it you are probably wondering how a movie about journalists can motivate anyone. Well i have no idea, i just know that it did a fine job motivating me.

Maybe its because i want to be a journalist and one day ill b in the shoes of people like that.

oh. the movie was about a young woman who brings up a show that was dying down. She manages to bring up their ratings and gets to keep the show from being cancelled. she does this by learning to tell the difference from her job and her life. well thats one of the things that help. but anyway that is sort of the story line. it is not the best movie ever, but it is nice. I liked it and id recommend to-be-journalists to watch it,
always,
Annie :)

Time Traveler's wife

The Time Traveler's Wife (film)Image via Wikipedia
A couple days ago I watched this movie, and you wouldn't believe how many tears it got out of me. Time Traveler's wife was really a great movie, and very emotional for me. lol. I liked it regardless though, it was a really nice movie. Maybe just for that day, and I might not see it again, because it is one of those that you only see once and you'll remember for the rest of your life. Well that is how I feel about it.

I liked the whole story-line, it didn't get my attention until the complications started, and when things started going wrong, but it got my attention. It might not be everyone's choice, and you might not watch it because you want to, but I hope that if you do, you'll like it :)

Annie♥☺

PS I am sorry for not writing as much.. I don't think I have to explain myself again. But yeah.... Three words
I AM HAPPY! :)

Legend of the Guardians

I cannot remember when, but sometime last year I saw this movie. I know it is a long time and you are probably asking yourself "why is she writing about this?" But I feel like I haven't put enough time on my blog lately. I have a really good reason though..... I AM HAPPY AND LIVING MY LIFE!!!
Anyway, that I am living my life to the fullest doesn't mean I don't have my free moments here and there. So whenever I can I came back and write. Though, I should take into consideration that not many people read my blog.... but anyway....
Legend of the Guardians was a good movie in my opinion. Just my opinion. :)

Even though before I saw it I thought that it was going to be a horrible movie because it was about animals, and I didn't find any point in it. At the end I found that it was really good. I liked the message it portrayed and the plot and the characters. Jejeje, plus, I'll tell you a secret..... I saw it in IMAX :) For the first time I saw a movie in IMAX, funny maybe that's why I liked it so much, but who knows. Oh PLus I loved the song, To the sky by Owl City. :)

I'd love to keep writing, but I got a life to live

Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows

Last night I went to see Harry Potter. I have to say, this was the best Harry Potter film I've seen in a while, not counting the first two. This one was really cool, I loved it!!!! The last few movies had been awful, I suppose it was time for this one to be good. Plus it is the last one, well at least part of it...lol. :)

I honestly can't wait to see the second part.

It is funny though, I have never completely read the books. I've been a devoted Harry Potter fan for as long as I can remember (Haha, no, its not that long), and I haven't been able to read the books. I read the first one, and started the second. They were just as good, or better than the movies, but I just can't make time to read them anymore. I used to read so much, not anymore though. I hardly have time. But anyway! That's another subject. Back to Harry. I tried reading the last book, I read like 10 pages, and then I didn't have time for it.I'll try to read them soon though. As soon as I have time for them.

So, back to the movie. Well hold up, I can hardly manage about what I want to talk about. When it comes to Harry Potter there is so much out there. Lol. But I don't want to bring up all those topics involving Harry, like why is Hermione going to stay with Ron, or why is Harry going to stay with Ginny? That is what is going to happen, no way around it. So let's deal with it.

But now that I brought it up, I did see much more chemistry between Hermione and Harry than with Hermione and Ron. Oh well....

The movie was awesome, I was sad at the end though, and it made me cry.... I don't want to ruin it for any of you that haven't seen it, but I was really sad with the death of one of my favorite characters.....

Well I suppose that is it for now....
Annie☺
