The Fault in Our Stars book review

You guys probably know by now that I love my movies. Ever since I can remember I have been going to watch movies, just to tell you that I saw every single Harry Potter Movie at the theater. That's like, how many years? Eight? I am not sure, anyway, I want you guys to know that I am not only a movie lover, I also quite honestly love to read. I just hadn't had the chance to read recently, you know, getting married and all. Boy, do I have to make a post about everything that changed in my life recently? (Comment down below if yes! If you don't want to know, tell me down below too!)

Anyway, I love to read. I actually used to write many book reviews before, so another book review was long overdue. If you guys want to check out my other book reviews, I will link them at the end of this post.

A couple of days ago, I read the book everyone has been raving about: The Fault in our Stars. Yes, I gave in into peer pressure and read it. It took me two days to read it, but that's okay, it took me 2 and a half weeks to read the Twilight Saga, sorry off topic again.

I am sure, one way or another you guys have heard of the Fault in Our Stars, either by watching the trailer of the movie (That's how I found out), or reading a review, or walking in to Hot Topic. Point is, you might have heard of it. It is a love story of a cancer patient and it takes so many turns. Honestly, I don't think there is any more to say about it. It is a touching love story of a cancer patient who falls in love with a cancer patient survivor. You follow the two characters (Gus and Hazel) through their adventures and self-fulfillment. I found it very sentimental, but I didn't cry! If you read or saw the movie Sister's Keeper and liked it, you will like this one too.

I am sorry that I can't tell you anymore, but I don't feel like this story has much explaining. I know this comment alone might discourage you from reading the book, but don't let it. There are just some books that are hard to explain, you are just going to have to read this book and find out yourself.

My other book reviews:
Thirteen Reasons Why
Cirque du Freak/ Cirque du Freak Review on last book
Before I Die
Bloodline

(Don't Judge, these are from 2010)

PS: Here is the trailer for Fault in Our Stars in case you haven't seen it.

How to Train Dragon 2

If you guys know me at all as a person you guys know that I secretly love cartoons! Anything from Despicable Me to Nemo. So, me being the little kid that I am I had to go watch How to Train a Dragon 2! If you guys have not seen the first one you guys definitely have to check it out! It is hilarious!

For those of you who don't know the gist of the story, which you should, but if you don't, here it is. How to Train a Dragon is a cartoon movie about Dragons! Cool Dragons if I may add. Just kidding, the story is about Vikings a long time ago who were in a sort of war with Dragons. The story is based around Hiccup(main character) and his friends. On the first movie they are at war with the dragons, but Hiccup eventually finds a way that he can befriend them and even ride them. Everyone in his island doesn't understand though, so he figures out a way to teach them about how to use dragons to their advantage. They eventually all learn how to ride and communicate with these amazing creatures and the story goes on. Everyone on the island eventually has their own dragon.

The sequel to this movie is a little bit different. The story begins with Hiccup and his friends, five years older and they live happily in the island full of dragon riders. Everyone, once again, has their own dragon. The plot of this story is that there is some Viking guy who is building a dragon army and is taking control of every single dragon he gets his hands on. Eventually taking over Hiccup's and his friends' dragons. The story goes on to many surprises, which I am not going to spoil. So if this sounds like something interesting, check it out. I'll link the trailer down below for How to Train a Dragon 2. Don't hesitate to watch it if it calls your attention. Besides, sometimes cartoon movies are meant to be for adults too..... (Your remember that one resident evil animated film, right?).

I believe that it is okay even for adults to watch cartoon movies, they not only make you smile but they rejuvenate your soul. Don't call me cheesy..... I am young at HEART and always will be.
Have a wonderful week,
Andy

A Twisted Review

My husband and I watched this show a couple of weeks ago on Netflix. It was so interesting and we were hooked from the first episode! If you guys would prefer to watch me talking about this video you guys can go ahead and look in our YouTube channel! If you guys don't know about that yet, you can read all about it here: Our New YouTube Channel. If you want to watch the video where I review this on video you can click here: A Twisted Review

Anyway, today I will talking about this very interesting show Manny and I watched. To begin with, this show is about a very twisted story. The plot is all over the place but that is what makes it interesting. The main character of this show is Danny and the story is about how he killed his aunt when he was young. During the pilot episode, the first five minutes is actually when he murders his aunt, the scene opens and he walks out to meet his two best friends and tells them that he had to do it. He admits to the crime and is sent to Juvi for about five years. When he is released he decides that he wants to go to the original high school he would have been at if he had never murdered his aunt. His two best friends, whose names are Lacey and Jo and at the school and he tries to approach them. Of course they freak out because he is a murdered and they blame him for their ruined childhood.

The show then revolves around secrets and mysteries that Danny carries with himself. You find out that things are really not what they seem they are and things change course multiple times. I just have to tell you guys the show is crazy twisted, seriously, you just never know what is going to happen.

I highly recommend it and you guys can watch it on Netflix, if you like the shows that keep you on your toes watch this one because you will for sure be on your toes! I assure you.

Have a nice Monday guys!

Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Foaming Scrub - Review

Okay, so today is item review day. Don't hate me but I am not too fond of these, it is not because I don't like writing about an item, I mean I love to review things. It is because it is so hard to find something to talk about. You don't know how much I struggle to find a single item I can talk about, but I get through it. If you guys are reading this comment down below if you like it when I do item reviews and what types of things you like that I do reviews on: food, beauty products, drinks, clothing lines, etc. I would love for you guys to make suggestions and I am sure I could pull some strings and try out the products you guys suggest and do a review for them so you guys don't have to go through the whole "I wonder if this thing works or not" phase.

Anyway, I recently started getting a lot of breakouts, I am not sure why but I just did. Maybe because of the heat and when it's hot you sweat more, I am not sure. My cleansing wash thingy for my face wasn't working for me so I went to look for another one and I found one with benzoyl, weird right, you must be wondering why does a face wash need benzoyl for, I wondered too. It is the Neutrogena Deep Clean - Invigorating Foaming Scrub. You can look at the picture too.

I have been using the wash for about a week, every single morning after I exercise. I have to say more than 75% of my breakouts are gone since I started, I mean I do still have pimples here and there but most of them are gone. Amazing, right? Hold on, the wash is very drying, it makes your face really, really dry. I am pretty sure if I didn't have the oily complexion that I do my face would feel like chapped lips all over. So if you have dry skin, I would recommend you using this wash less often, maybe every other day with a very good moisturizer.

Other than that I don't have much to say, other than how much this has helped me in the last week. Also that my face feels so clean after I use it! I am also starting to think that I should also use it at night time but it might be too rough on my skin then. So there you guys have it, if you are looking for a good acne cleansing face wash, check this out. I am sure you'll be impressed.

Andy

PS. Don't forget to comment down below if you have any suggestions on items you would like me to do reviews on or if you even like reading these at all. Have a nice Thursday everyone!

Why I drink Green Tea every morning

I figured that I would let you guys into a little secret of mine. Since I used to work at Starbucks I developed a slight addiction to Green Tea. I don't know if you guys know but I did used to work at Starbucks and there my very favorite drink is the Green Iced Tea, Ah-mah-Ziing!

After I left my store I have always had some Green tea at home. It has to be Zen, which is not pure green tea but has a little bit of lemongrass on it to intensify the flavor. Anyway, I always have some tea bags at home and I usually drink it every morning and sometimes in the afternoon. It is delicious and it has a little of caffeine in it so it gives you a little boost of energy.

I got a little curious and decided to research the good properties of green tea. I mean I already knew that Green tea is really good for you and it is a great way to hydrate yourself without too much sugar. It actually has plenty of health benefits. Green tea has been shown to improve blood flow and lower cholesterol, it is very good for the heart. Since it helps blood flow it is very good with blood pressure and can help keep blood sugar stable in people with diabetes.

I also found out that green tea can have a major effect in your metabolism and help you lose weight. It allows you to burn more calories from fat and studies show that it also helps you keep your weight once you have lost it.

Another amazing perk of green tea, it is a great  stress reliever. The plain activity of sitting down and drinking tea is calming in itself. Green tea also has an amino acid that provides a calming effect.

Lastly, I found a couple of tips that give you the best of your Green tea.

  • Don't add boiling water to your green tea, 160-170  degree water will keep all the good properties of the tea intact.
  • Add lemon, Vitamin C makes the compounds in green tea easier to absorb. Dairy, actually makes the compounds harder to be absorbed.
  • Levels of the healthier compounds in green tea vary. More expensive green teas will usually have more, and canned green teas will generally have less.

So if you guys are looking for an alternative to sugary drinks, you can make the switch to green tea because you can have this iced or hot. If you guys want to check out where I got the information from, this is the website: WebMD

Thanks for reading, have a nice day guys :)

Viva Box Blog Review

I am starting to realize that I am not really that good at making reviews. I honestly kind of suck, but it is okay. Here I go once again.

Today I am going to review the Viva Box  that I received for testing and honestly and very truly I have enjoyed it very much. I don´t know what is was about all the products there, they were just great. I am sure I will purchase all of them after I am done using the ones that I received.

The one product that I have been using everyday with no miss is the Vaseline: Spray & Go. It is an amazing moisturizer and I love how convenient it is and how easy it is to use. I got mine in Cocoa scent. I have never been a fan of cocoa scents in lotions but this one it is just perfect. I love the fact that I can easily apply it and how fast it absorbs into the skin. I have just enjoyed it very much. Even since before I love Vaseline products because they really do the job.

The second product that I have been using very constantly, like every single day I wear make up I have to pair it with this. NYC New York Color City Proof Twistable Intense Lip Color, sorry that is a mouthful, but that lip color is just amazing. I put it on at noon in the day and it will last all day throughout the meals, kissing of my husband, etc. I do have to admit the color won't be as intense as it was when you first applied it but it will last. You will probably only have to reapply it once, twice at the most. So if you are looking for a lip stick that will last you throughout the day that is the way to go.

I also received two nail polishes by ICE. I had never heard of this brand but it shocked me. I expected it to be like other drugstore nail polishes. However, it lasted quite a while and it didn't start to chip off until a week after I first applied it. I don't know what you guys think but I think that is really good for a nail polish, I mean for not having applied top coat or base coat, I feel like it lasted a while. It probably would have lasted longer if it weren't for the fact that I wash dishes, do laundry and other things like that throughout the day. Oh! Also, it works awesome to create the jelly sandwich effect on your nails with the glitter polish. No one would ever know that it was two separate nail polishes.

I also got the Montagne Mask on the Viva box, I already wrote a blog on that you guys can check it out here: Montagne Jeunesse. I already mentioned that I loved that so you guys can read all about that.

So there you guys have it, I am actually surprised that I enjoyed all of the products because last time I got a box I didn't enjoy the products as much as I did this time. However, I am encouraged to continue to test the products that influenster sends me because honestly they have been great!

Thanks for reading,
Andy

Instructions not Included review

A couple of days ago I watched this movie. For those of you who have not heard of it, it is a movie that was directed and partially produced by a really famous Hispanic Comedian whose name is Eugenio Derbez. All of you Hispanic people that are reading this know who he is. Of course you do! Fun fact, Eugenio Derbez was 'Donkey's' voice in Shrek when the movie was translated to Spanish.

Anyway, Eugenio Derbez was also in the movie Under the Same Moon and if I am not mistaken he partially produced that one as well. The thing with Instructions not Included though, was that this movie premiered in US movie theaters and it was half in Spanish and half in English. Does that make sense? Well what I am trying to say is that there were sections of the movie spoken mostly in English and other parts in Spanish.

Back to the actual plot of this movie. This movie is about a man, Valentin, that lives in Acapulco (Eugenio Derbez). He spends most of his time seducing and sleeping with tourists that happen to come by to Acapulco. Soon he finds a woman from the US, Julie, and well he wastes no time to seduce her as well. Before you know it he has jumped to his next tourist. Twenty months after he had 'hooked' up with Julie, she shows up at his doorstep with a baby and claims that the baby is the product from the hook up they had 20 months ago. She tricks Valentin into keeping the baby and then she takes off back to the US. The movie then follows Valentin on his trip to the US to return the baby back to her mother but eventually he falls in love with the little girl and the movie then starts. That is as far as I will tell you because for you to get the true gist you must watch it. It really captures the essence of a loving father and the struggles that happen everyday without us being aware of them.

Warning: This movie made me cry, however, many other movies have made me cry before... But truthfully it is a movie worth watching. If you do get the chance, the movie is now on Netflix so if you have Netflix please check it out. It is a movie worth watching. Specially if you watch it with you family.

Have a wonderful Monday my friends,
Andy :)

Montagne Jeunesse Manuka Honey Peel Off

For those of you that don't like beauty stuff and skincare things you should stop reading because this is a review for a beauty mask! Now, if you are interested, keep reading this.

The other day I tried out this peel mask. I had heard of them before but hadn't actually tried any. The brand that I tried is called Montagne Jeunesse. The mask I tried on was the Honey Peel Off, I do have to tell you though, have you ever used the peel off nose strips? I know  I am obsessed with those, they just make my nose feel so clean after I used them. Well anyway, this mask is like a giant nose strip for you face.

How I used it: The consistency of he mask is just like honey, off the bat you can tell this is actual honey that you are applying.
I just applied a layer of the mask on my face and gave it about 20 minutes to dry, just like a nose strip. I started to feel tingly sensation on my skin after less than 5 minutes of me wearing it. That's how I knew the mask was working. Did I happen to mention the amazing smell?? I believe that the mask had honey and Jasmine on it so it smelled amazing and it has this relaxing feel to it. That is how I imagine it would feel if I was at the Spa.

Point is, I really liked this mask and I am for sure going to keep on using it. It just left my skin feeling so nice. I want to feel like that again already.

Check out their website here Montagne Jeunesse website. If you guys want to try this mask it is sold at Wal-mart and Ulta and I believe it is $1.99 per mask.

So if you ladies are wanting to try something new, check this out, you won't regret it,
Andy :)

Brick Mansions and how I feel about Paul Walker passing away

This past Saturday my husband and I went to watch Brick Mansions, the last movie that Paul Walker finished. One word: Ah-Mah-Ziiing!!!

We went to watch it Saturday night with some cousins and honestly before I walked in to the movie I had no idea what it was about, so I'll give the general gist to everyone who doesn't know so that they don't walk in clueless.

It is about a part of a city that is cut away from the city where many poor and supposedly "corrupt" people live, the government of the city builds a wall so that the "normal" people can't go in, the place inside the wall is known as Brick Mansions. Anyway, Paul Walker is a cop, of course, and he is set on a mission to retrieve a bomb that was hijacked from the government when they were passing through Brick Mansions, so he pretends that he is a criminal in order to get inside undercover. Then everything goes
down and I am not giving it away!! Go watch it!!

I felt like it was packed with action and its fair amount of comical relief. Paul Walker's co-star was amazing as well and they complemented each other on the film. I honestly enjoyed it very much and was happy to see a movie where Paul Walker did such an impact. By the way the film was dedicated to him. I was very sad when I found out that he died. He was doing so good in his career and you could tell he was just climbing up and up. It is such a shame that he died so young and early, he had so many things coming.

Point is, Brick Mansions was an amazing tribute to him and it portrays him at his fullest, check it out :)

Switched at Birth review

Today is TV Show or movie review and since I have successfully discussed Supernatural I decided I wanted to talk about another show of my liking. Switched at Birth. I don't know how many of you have heard of it but it is a really nice show, I remember seeing billboards everywhere at the malls when it first came out, but I never wanted to watch it, it just didn't captivate  my attention.

A couple of months after we got Netflix at home (Yes I am a very high Netflix fan, honestly I don't think I can live without it), I found it roaming through the Netflix selection, me and my husband decided to give it a try. I saw the first episode and I was hooked, my husband not so much. It could be because it is a more girly show. Anyway, I should give you a synopsis, but I am not going to kill it for you guys.

Naturally, this show is about two girls that get switched right after birth, a Hispanic girl and a Caucasian girl. The Hispanic, who's name is Bay, grows up with the other girl's family and vice versa. The other girl's name is Daphne. I can't remember how old they are when they find out they were switched but point is they find one another and their parents are upset both of the girls' parents want both the girls. Daphne is deaf by the way, this is one of the parts of this show that hooked me because there is a good amount of the show done just in hand language, don't let this stop you from watching it though, there are always subtitles!

Back on track, the TV show follows the two girls as the try to fit in their new lives and well things get intense with the clash of cultures. So you guys definitely have to check it out.

I loved it and I can't wait until more episodes are loaded onto Netflix,
Andy

Nokia Lumia 521 review

So since I just put up my new schedule for this post I thought I would start on it right away. Before I go on, I would like to say that I might not only post what I say I'll post on an specific day. I might have a couple of more posts that day that might not have anything to do with what the schedule says. Like the one I posted up earlier about my husband.

Anyway, for today's review I am going to review the Window's phones. I currently own a Window's phone, specifically the NOKIA LUMIA 521. Before I owned that phone I owned the NOKIA LUMIA 720. I loved my 720 and now I love my 521. I feel like Windows outdid themselves. I have never owned an iPhone but I have owned an ipod. I don't think there is much difference other than the fact that with the iPhone you can make calls, send texts and use the internet. In my true and honest opinion I believe that the windows phones are so much better and more efficient than an iPhone. I mean it is a phone after all and so is the iPhone but I have not experienced any technical difficulties with my windows phone. I've had it for about a year and it is still working fine.

I love the shape of it as well. I mean I do have one concern... For a very long time I could not find a pretty case for my phone. I struggled and I looked in every mall I stepped in and no one carried a nokia lumia case, which really bothered me, but hey, that is why we have the internet. I ordered three cases for the price I would have bought one in a random mall. So I ended up winning there. Yay for me. I also love the way that you can organize your main menu. I don't know, call me crazy but I think it is revolutionary. I love the way it looks and how you can customize it. By the way did I happen to mention that I also have a Windows computer and I am so in love with it. Point is I give this phone a ten out of ten.

I highly recommend that you guys check into this if you are looking for a new type of phone, but if you love your IPhone too much, then forget it, you wouldn't appreciate the worth of this phone anyway. Lol, no seriously it rocks!

Chuze Fitness

I never in my life imagined that I would ever have a gym membership!

I've been going to this gym, CHUZE, for about three months now. I have to say it is amazing! I mean, it's affordable and it gets the job done. I don't know if I can call this a review of this gym but I have to say I am happy to be going there. I do want to recommend it to anyone who is thinking about joining a gym, or getting a gym membership.

I go to this gym at least three times a week at night. My routine is not complicated. We usually walk, or run on the treadmills for about 30 to 40 minutes and then move on to some heave machinery! Just kidding, but no really. My husband really likes to encourage me to do as much as can until I end up really tired. I appreciate it that because if he didn't do that I wouldn't last more than the treadmill.

Anywho, I really like this gym. It is so clean and everyone of their staff is really nice. I specially  like how it is asked from us that we clean the equipment after it has been used. I mean, I've never had another gym membership but I think that is awesome. There's even a circuit, where we get to exercise for one minute at a time. I really like that one, even though in the last couple of weeks we haven't been there.

There is also an option of having a personal trainer, which I think would be really cool for someone who was looking for a little more encouragement. I got my own personal trainer already! My husband :)

So anyone out there is wondering about trying out a gym membership, check CHUZE out! I give it 5 out of 5 stars. I honestly think you won't regret it :)

Stay motivated
!

Divergent Movie Review

Just saw this movie on the first!

I listened to the book on audible last year and I fell in love with the plot. My husband and I heard and when we found out a movie was coming out we went crazy. Just like with the Hunger Games, but honestly I liked this one better.

I think the cast is pretty much perfect, even though I imagined Four a little more older and Eric was a little different, other than that I loved the movie.

I liked the fact that the movie pretty much stayed close to the book and there was only a few changes. Well there were multiple twists on the movie but to be honest they made sense, unlike other movies where the plot takes a 360 degree turn to make sense, but this one was great. By the way Tris is pretty much portrayed amazingly ! So props to Shailene Woodly for her acting. I don't think I had seen her in another movie but if this was her first lead role she did awesome! Theo James is really goodlooking!! Just had to leave that out there before I end this.

PS Sorry if this is short... First time I do a review in a long looooong time!!

A-Team is Awesome!!!! 2 bad i missed the series...

The other day I went to my uncle's house with my dad. When I asked my dad what we were going to do over there he told me "Oh, we are going to go watch some good movies" I would never have thought that he meant it this time. ^o^ Usually we go and do basically nothing, this time we just sat there and saw some really good movies. One which was A-team. It was really good. Well I personally liked it. Then my uncle started talking about a series in the 1980's. I did not know about those, but then I started thinking, I wish I had seen it. I am probably going to look it up or something, I don't know.

Well just in case you haven't heard of them, (like me) here are the summaries of the 2010 movie and the 1980's series:
A-team(2010):
Four American soldiers who are in Iraq are sent on a mission to recover plates for printing 100 dollar bills that were used to print a billion dollars. After doing the job and returning to the base their commanding officer is killed in an explosion and the plates are stolen by another operative. They would be court martialed and sent to different prisons. 6 months later, the leader, Hannibal Smith is visited by a CIA spook who tells him he knows where the man who took the plates is and wants him and his men to recover it. So he helps him escape and he breaks out the others and they go after the plates. But after doing it, they discover that the spook might not be ok. And a military intelligence officer who was involved with one of them is pursuing them. Written by rcs0411@yahoo.com
Based on the hit T.V. show in the 1980's. During the Vietnam war a 4 man team (known as the A-Team) of Special Forces were (wrongly) convicted of the robbery of the bank of Hanoi and were sent to a prison. But, while they were being transferred to that prison, this team managed to escape and secretly went into hiding in Los Angeles. Now, the A-Team aims to find another team of U.S. soldiers that framed them for the crime back in Vietnam, while they wait however they help other people that have a problem with other underworld dwellers. Written by John Wiggins

Well I really liked the movie, and even though I didn't see the series, I am pretty sure that it was good, not worse. It might not have been better than the series, but it was probably just as good. If you don't agree because you've seen them, please let me know. Leave a comment :)
My favorite character was Murdock (Sharlto Copley). I thought he was really cool, maybe his craziness, or the way he flew. I don't know, but I liked him. By the way I really don't have anything against Bradley Cooper, he was great too.

SO if you have a chance watch it.
'Till next time,
Annie

Cirque du Freak review

I finally got the chance to read the last Cirque du Freak book: Sons of Destiny. I have to say it was both what I expected it, and what I didn't. To me it seemed that the end of the series had two ending, because just one of those involved what was really going on with the rest of the series. The other, basically changed everything. I will, however, talk no more because you should read them.

If you have not heard of them, well the story is basically about a young boy that becomes a half vampire and starts on a series of events and treks that take him to many amazing places. Maybe you've seen the movie, Vampire's assistant. I thought it was okay. The books are always better than the movie though, as you might already know.

Well, I also have to say that the thing I most liked about Cirque du Freak was all the many characters I got to meet. They were each really unique and special in their own way. If you've read any of the books, you'll know what I am talking about when I mention Harkat Mulds. He was my favorite.

I thought that the series was very well written, and it always kept me hooked. I really didn't always know what to expect. Even though I didn't read all the books, I started with the fourth one, Vampire Mountain, I always loved the way the prologue told what had happened since the beginning. That way, if I had taken a break in between reading the books , I always knew what was going on. But, ugh, why am I telling you that? If you are interested in a different kind of vampire story, something other than twilight. Ugh.Well go ahead and try this series out. I know that it'll  keep you hooked.
Until next time,
Annie

Bloodline

The latest book I've read was pretty good. Title: Bloodline About: Dracula and World War 1. I do have to say that it took me a long time to finish. It wasn't because it was boring, but because it just didn't hook me.
Well here is the summary of the book:
The journal entries of Captain Quincey Harker, Lieutenant John Shaw, Lily Shaw, and Mary Seward tell a tale of vampiric connection by shared bloodline. John Shaw is a World War I communications officer in the trenches under Harker's command. A large and striking man, Harker demonstrates exceptional strength, an iron will, and a terrifying battlefield bloodlust. Despite John's growing reservations about Harker's ethics and perhaps even his sanity, he finds he cannot rid himself of his captain, even when sent home to convalesce after being gravely wounded. Harker, who joins him not long after, takes a decided interest in John's sister, Lily. When Lily is enticed from her home to become Harker's bride in Transylvania, John and Mary (John's nurse/fiancee), realize that this will not be a wedding sanctioned by God and set out to stop it. With the exception of time frame and journal format, there's little that's new here, and following a moody and leisurely buildup, the ending feels rushed. Still, a solid vampire story is always compelling, and this eminently readable book will find fans. Holly Koelling

I have to say, the end was really shocking, and you wouldn't expect it. I liked it over all, it was a good read and had many interesting things about how the war was in the trenches. If you have time you should try it out. It was not one of the best books I've read, but it was good.

Before I die

On Monday, my mom took us to the library and I checked out two books! TWO!!! I could have gotten more huh? Oh well, anyway. One of them is called Before I die. It was such a good book, I finished in one day! I was really amazed at myself.

Here is the summary just so you have an idea of what its about:
"It's really going to happen. They said it would, but this is quicker than I thought"
Everyone has to die. We all know it.
With only a few months of life left, sixteen-year old Tessa knows it better than most.
She's made a list, though - ten thing she wants to do before she dies. Number one is sex. Starting tonight.
But getting what you want isn't easy. And getting what you want doesn't always give you what you need. And sometimes the most unexpected things became important.
Uplifting, life-affirming, joyous -  this extraordinary novel celebrates what is to be alive by confronting what it's really like to die.

This book was really good, I really did love it. I have to admit, it was worth all the tears I shed. You should have seen my sister last night, I was reading the ending and she was laughing at me. Aw. I guess that's just me. Many things make me cry. O well.
This book was really great. I laughed with it, it made me mad, happy, ugh and it made me cry! It also showed me that sometimes we don't have enough time to do what we want and we just don't realize. We need to take and use every single minute of our lives and do every thing we want to do.
So, if you have time, you want a new read. This might be a good book to pick up. :-)

Sorcerer's Apprentice with Nicolas Cage! :-)

Today, just a few hours ago, my dad, my sister and I went to watch the Sorcerer's Apprentice. I have to tell you that it was good. I liked it. Nick Cage looked awesome. Though, he's getting old too! AW! I've probably mentioned this before, but many good actors are getting old! :-(

Well, just in case you haven't heard of this, or don't know the story line, here is a summary:
Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). Balthazar can't do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protégé. The sorcerer gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these unlikely partners work to stop the forces of darkness. It'll take all the courage Dave can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Written by Walt Disney Pictures
Well, I really did like this movie. I thought Nicolas Cage was perfect for the part he played. He looked good I have to admit. He did a magnificent job as a sorcerer. :-)

So, I really do recommend you to watch it. You'll like it, well it does depend on your taste in movies. All I know that I liked it very much.

Under the Same Moon

Today I saw the movie Under the Same Moon for the second time. You know something, I found out that it is and will always be a really sad and inspiring movie. I also found out, that when tears start, it is usually very hard to make them stop. I say that from personal expirience. haha. After watching the movie for the second time I should now
Here is the summary that I got from imdb.com :
A boy living in Mexico crosses the Mexican/US Border to reunite with his mother. UNDER THE SAME MOON (LA MISMA LUNA) tells the parallel stories of nine-year-old Carlitos and his mother, Rosario. In the hopes of providing a better life for her son, Rosario works illegally in the U.S. while her mother cares for Carlitos back in Mexico. Unexpected circumstances drive both Rosario and Carlitos to embark on their own journeys in a desperate attempt to reunite. Along the way, mother and son face challenges and obstacles but never lose hope that they will one day be together again. Written by Fox Searchlight
I believe that is a really good movie, and it teaches to learn to appreaciate what many people go through for your own good. As I saw this movie, I thought about many of my own experiences, or as I should say my parent's. I just will say, I really enjoyed watching this, even though, I really didnt like what Derbez did at the end. That is what really made me cry. However, that is all I will say. If you've seen it you know what I am talking about, if not, you should watch it soon.

Karate Kid & Jackie

Yesterday I saw Karate Kid. I just want to let everyone know, it was a great movie!! I loved it!! However, as I was writing to my friend about it, I realized that Jackie Chan is getting old. What is he, on his 50's? I think. Watching Karate Kid made me realize many things, and Jackie Chan's age hit me! :(
Well, like I said before it was a really good movie. Even though I have not seen the old ones, I am pretty sure that they must be better than this one. I still give kudos to Jackie though because he is a great actor and any movie he casts in is great. I mean who hasnt seen him in Rush Hour?

In case you havent heard of Karate Kid here is a summary from imdb.com :
12-year-old Dre Parker could've been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's latest career move has landed him in China. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying - and the feeling is mutual - but cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre's feelings make an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. In the land of kung fu, Dre knows only a little karate, and Cheng puts "the karate kid" on the floor with ease. With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han, who is secretly a master of kung fu. As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life.

So, if you have any extra time this weekend, try and watch Karate Kid. I really recommend it, except I am still disapointed with a scene in the movie that I didnt agree with. But Oh, well...
