MockingJay

Well, I know that right after I read this book I wrote that I hated the ending on twitter. Then, I got thinking, no I didn't, I just didn't like the fact that it was sad and what I wanted to happen didn't happen. That was okay though, because it wasn't my book and it was unexpected, which makes it a great book. I don't want to give away too much of the book. If you even know about it, but it is the last book of the Hunger Games books, and for what I've heard, it is to became a movie next year. I really can't wait. :-)

Well for those who don't know about this series, if that's what you call them. (Sorry, I don't know where I have my head today). Well here is the summary for Hunger Games, the first book, and MockingJay, the last one:

Hunger Games: In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before—and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that will weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

MockingJay: Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Gale has escaped. Katniss's family is safe. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding.

Well, now I realize, that maybe I should have done this post in two instead of one. Oh well, what is done is done. Right.

Anyway, these books are by far one of my favorites. I believe that they are very well done. So well done, that I got too attached to them, that is why I was so upset when I finished the very last one. I don't know where, but once I heard that if a book makes you mad, upset, happy, and/or any other emotions, it is truly a good book. If you believe every single word that the characters say, then it is a piece of art. I think I leave short the Hunger Games, because they were way better. So, that is all I've got to say. Well, no, not really. There's one more thing. I hated the end!!!!!! But you already know that. I just would have liked something else to happen.
Okay, now I 'm done,
Annie ♥
