Manny's Blog Day - The 10 Worst Jobs Ever!!

Hello everybody its Friday again another top 10 list.
I came up with this list when I was looking up some job descriptions and encountered these weird and somewhat disturbing job titles. I do have a warning, there is some mature content within the list so careful when reading. Also after reading this list you might not think you have the worst job ever anymore, unless of course you have one of these jobs in which case im sorry for your suffering. Anyway, here it is friends.

THE 10 WORST JOBS EVER!!!

10.BABY SITTER: I chose this because unless you have an extreme love for kids and you are able to get them to calm down and behave this is worst than war and might kill all hopes of having kids of your own.
9.FLIGHT ATTENDANT: Some of you might say well its not that bad you get to travel, but if you look at it in other prospective you have to deal for hours with rude, mean, and all kinds of weird and creepy people just as well as every other combination of people there are. Its just like baby sitting but while traveling plus you get a lousy salary so its not that great.
8.GARBAGE COLLECTOR: Collecting trash for a living is not one of the best ways to make a living but someone has to do it and there is no shame in that. In some states they make an average 3,000 dollars more a year than your high school teacher but picking up someone else's trash is not something you'll be dying to apply for.
7.GRAVE KEEPER: One of the creepiest jobs is this a grave keeper. Which is  just that being the person who takes care of the graveyard. What could be worst than having to walk around a graveyard at night with only a flashlight to protect yourself? That's just plain scary.
6.SKY SCRAPER WINDOW CLEANER: For this job you better have some nerves of steel because you'll be cleaning the windows of some of the tallest skyscrapers. In some cases with minimal safety equipment making it that much worst, imagine hanging hundreds of feet off the ground cleaning windows. You better not look down.
5.GUARD AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE: As if being a regular security guard wasn't bad enough being a guard at the Buckingham palace is that much worse, because not only do you have to guard the palace you must not move or talk, you must just stand there and guard unless completely necessary. Oh and did I mentioned you also have to deal with the TOURISTS which will do almost everything to get you to move.
4.EMBALMER: Another creepy job. An embalmer's duty is to prepare the body of a diseased prior to the burial, he/she must clean the body, empty their bowels and bladders, remove all liquids and gases and replace with chemicals and pastes as well as dressing and applying make up on the diseased. Now that's just creepy.
3.PORT A POTTY CLEANER: Given the duty to keep the port a potties clean, this individual is in charge of cleaning and maintaining the blue cubicles. This means sanitizing, emptying the sewage tank, and cleaning after peoples messes. Can you imagine cleaning a port-a-potty that has been tilted. Now that gross my friends.
2.SEWER CLEANER: Now this employee has the duty to clean the main city sewage lines. This means crawling through manholes cleaning the sewage lines to prevent them from clogging up. If you think this is bad in some countries they have little to no protection leading to hundreds of deaths a year.

What you all have been waiting for, now for the number 1 worst job on my list:
1.ANIMAL MASTURBATOR: As bad as it seems its just as suggested by the tittle, ejaculating animals for a living is by far the worst job in my list these fellows are in charge of just that, masturbating animals for whether scientific research or to grow the population of a species no matter how you look at it, that is just wrong in so many levels, but a job is a job I guess.

Well that's all for now, top 10 worst jobs!!
Hopefully now you feel better about your job and if you have one of these jobs then I feel your pain. See you next Friday with another top 10

Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Foaming Scrub - Review

Okay, so today is item review day. Don't hate me but I am not too fond of these, it is not because I don't like writing about an item, I mean I love to review things. It is because it is so hard to find something to talk about. You don't know how much I struggle to find a single item I can talk about, but I get through it. If you guys are reading this comment down below if you like it when I do item reviews and what types of things you like that I do reviews on: food, beauty products, drinks, clothing lines, etc. I would love for you guys to make suggestions and I am sure I could pull some strings and try out the products you guys suggest and do a review for them so you guys don't have to go through the whole "I wonder if this thing works or not" phase.

Anyway, I recently started getting a lot of breakouts, I am not sure why but I just did. Maybe because of the heat and when it's hot you sweat more, I am not sure. My cleansing wash thingy for my face wasn't working for me so I went to look for another one and I found one with benzoyl, weird right, you must be wondering why does a face wash need benzoyl for, I wondered too. It is the Neutrogena Deep Clean - Invigorating Foaming Scrub. You can look at the picture too.

I have been using the wash for about a week, every single morning after I exercise. I have to say more than 75% of my breakouts are gone since I started, I mean I do still have pimples here and there but most of them are gone. Amazing, right? Hold on, the wash is very drying, it makes your face really, really dry. I am pretty sure if I didn't have the oily complexion that I do my face would feel like chapped lips all over. So if you have dry skin, I would recommend you using this wash less often, maybe every other day with a very good moisturizer.

Other than that I don't have much to say, other than how much this has helped me in the last week. Also that my face feels so clean after I use it! I am also starting to think that I should also use it at night time but it might be too rough on my skin then. So there you guys have it, if you are looking for a good acne cleansing face wash, check this out. I am sure you'll be impressed.

Andy

PS. Don't forget to comment down below if you have any suggestions on items you would like me to do reviews on or if you even like reading these at all. Have a nice Thursday everyone!

Staying Healthy with Blogilates

I know I have been absent for a long time, I kind of took a long weekend with this labor day thing. I just, I suppose I needed a break from all sort of things. However, I thought that I should share my new healthy tips. I recently discovered the most awesome website to help me exercise and stay healthy. I have been using the website Blogilates  and I have to say in the last week I have been doing it I feel pretty great.

On the website you can find Pilates videos and routines that you can do on your own time or if you are feeling challenged you can also download the workout calendar and follow the routine that way. That is what I have been doing this week. I downloaded their beginner's calendar and their 12 week meal plan. I am not actually following the meal plan word for word because I don't have enough money to buy a whole grocery list and do the meal plan that way because, if I wanted to do it that way I would have to force everyone in my household to eat what I eat. So I skipped that part, however, I still try to not eat as much junk food and drink way more water. I mean on weekends and parties I do eat some chips and soda and yea but  that's once in a while.

Point of this post is that if you would like some motivation to work out and eat healthier I truly recommend you checking this website out! I can assure you that you won't regret it, and you can always adapt your lifestyle around it. For example, how I adapted to their meal plan but I didn't change the way I eat 100%. Anyway, you guys have to check it out, there are many success stories on their website and I am honestly enjoying their workout videos and calendars.

Have fun and stay healthy!

Manny's Blog Day - 10 Things to do at a job interview

I have been thinking and for me it's a bit tough to come up with things to write on the blog and even though I only write once a week I still have some trouble coming up with something. I always have some type of list on my mind for just about anything so from now on Fridays are top ten lists. I'll make YouTube videos about them later :) Meanwhile  let's talk about things that can help you out on a job interview so here it is

10 things to do at a job interview.

  1. You should always dress to impress: This means you should wear a button up shirt, dress pants, as well as dress shoes or your best attire for any job interview because this will show that you are interested in the job and will give an overall good vibe.
  2. Always greet the interviewer with a smile and a firm handshake: Greeting a future employer with a smile and a firm handshake shows not only good manners but it also shows how confident you are. If you have a weak handshake and not a convincing smile this might give a hint that you are unsecure and not the right person for the job.
  3. Always keep good eye contact: Keeping good eye contact is crucial in an interview because maintaining eye contact shows that you are interested on what the interviewer is saying and your interested in the job.
  4. Have a resume ready at all times: Having a resume ready is good to have during an interview because that way you have something to show for when the interviewer asks for references and skills. It also shows that you are responsible and prepared.
  5. Maintain a firm tome of voice when talking:  You want to keep a firm tone of voice when talking to an interviewer to once again show self confidence. You don't want to sound too quiet of end up like you were screaming in their face.
  6. Answer all their questions promptly: You should answer all the questions in a timely manner. Answer them too fast and you  might give a bad impression, you should wait until they finish asking before you reply. Answer them too slow and they might think you lied and always ask if they have any other questions after the interview.
  7. Always try to stay calm: In an interview always try to stay calm and try not to jitter. You don't want to seem like a nervous wreck at the time of your interview so stay calm and relax.
  8. Use correct language and pronunciation:  A common mistake is using slang or mispronunciation  in an interview, this is very important because you always want to sound like you know what you are talking about and that you can properly communicate with others.
  9. Be as professional as you can be: Try to be as professional as you can be in a job interview now this does not mean to completely change. Show your true personality but make sure you do it as professionally as possible.
  10. Manners are always good: The most important rule is that don't forget you manners using words like; thank you, please, good morning, sorry, and excuse me can go a long way because this shows that you are courteous and it is less likely you will cause a pain in the ass as an employee. and do not forget to always say THANK YOU after each and every interview.
So next time you have an interview have these rules in mind and good luck

Why I drink Green Tea every morning

I figured that I would let you guys into a little secret of mine. Since I used to work at Starbucks I developed a slight addiction to Green Tea. I don't know if you guys know but I did used to work at Starbucks and there my very favorite drink is the Green Iced Tea, Ah-mah-Ziing!

After I left my store I have always had some Green tea at home. It has to be Zen, which is not pure green tea but has a little bit of lemongrass on it to intensify the flavor. Anyway, I always have some tea bags at home and I usually drink it every morning and sometimes in the afternoon. It is delicious and it has a little of caffeine in it so it gives you a little boost of energy.

I got a little curious and decided to research the good properties of green tea. I mean I already knew that Green tea is really good for you and it is a great way to hydrate yourself without too much sugar. It actually has plenty of health benefits. Green tea has been shown to improve blood flow and lower cholesterol, it is very good for the heart. Since it helps blood flow it is very good with blood pressure and can help keep blood sugar stable in people with diabetes.

I also found out that green tea can have a major effect in your metabolism and help you lose weight. It allows you to burn more calories from fat and studies show that it also helps you keep your weight once you have lost it.

Another amazing perk of green tea, it is a great  stress reliever. The plain activity of sitting down and drinking tea is calming in itself. Green tea also has an amino acid that provides a calming effect.

Lastly, I found a couple of tips that give you the best of your Green tea.

  • Don't add boiling water to your green tea, 160-170  degree water will keep all the good properties of the tea intact.
  • Add lemon, Vitamin C makes the compounds in green tea easier to absorb. Dairy, actually makes the compounds harder to be absorbed.
  • Levels of the healthier compounds in green tea vary. More expensive green teas will usually have more, and canned green teas will generally have less.

So if you guys are looking for an alternative to sugary drinks, you can make the switch to green tea because you can have this iced or hot. If you guys want to check out where I got the information from, this is the website: WebMD

Thanks for reading, have a nice day guys :)

How society nowadays reacts to Gay Individuals

Ellen Degeneres
It literally took me hours to figure out what to write today. I just could not figure out what to write about today, as in worldly issues so I figured that might not be a thing I should write about on a weekly manner. Maybe once in a while because that is the one thing that takes me so long to figure out. However, I am still thinking about what to write about. It also took me long to figure out if I should write about the topic at all because it is a touchy subject with some people. At the end I thought, it is my blog, I decide what goes on here and what doesn't.

This might be a sensible topic to write about because there are still many people that are against it, however, as the months go by more and more people accept it. I am sure you can see where this is going and probably judging by the title you know what this is about.

I have been watching more than a few shows at a time during the past couple of months and I found it strange at first that so many of them were accepting the appearance of gay characters. For example, The Fosters, it is a show
Jodie Foster
about a family with two moms, yes they are gay. The show is about their struggle to fit in society and have their family be accepted, however, that is a minor conflict of the show. The show focuses on other issues that have nothing to do with the fact that they live in a gay household. I have also seen things like this in other shows. The show Twisted that just came out this year has a couple of instances where the topic is plainly portrayed.

Honestly, I have no problem with this. I think that gay people are actually very happy. I have a relative who is gay and he is a really close friend of mine. Since I am talking to friends, I'll let you in on a secret, I think all girl
s should have a guy friend who is gay. I, quite truly think it is amazing to have a friend like that because they have so many opinions. I know that my cousin might be reading this so Hey! I love you! (LoL)

Zachary Quinto
Gay people are normal people and for years they were segregated away from society. It was something to be ashamed of, and I am happy that they are finally getting the respect that they deserve. I am actually happy that it is becoming something that is considered normal, instead of something that should be looked down upon. I know that there are many people who are still against it and they see it like something that society should be ashamed of, but that is not the case. I don't understand why some people are just so scared of this concept, which is not a concept any longer, it is a fact. Have you taken a look at all the actors and actresses that have proudly announced that they are gay? Jodie Foster, I am sure you have heard of her, amazing actress; Ricky Martin, Latin Musician; Raven Symone, from the show.... yes you guess right, That's so Raven; Matt Bomer, if you are familiar with the show White Collar; Zachary Quinto, if you are familiar with him it is from either from Star Trek, or the show Heroes;  Of course, Ellen DeGeneres, an amazing lady, she is also very funny, has her own show and does the voice for Dory (Finding Nemo).

So yea, have a nice day guys,

Andy :)

PS. I want everyone to know that these are my opinions and I am in no way trying to change your beliefs or your point of view. This post just shows my opinions and my beliefs. Thank you for reading.

Things I have been doing to be healthy

I have been thinking about my lifestyle, in the regards of exercise and the things I eat. I am not the best person to talk about it but since I moved in with my husband, my eating and exercise habits took a 360 degree turn!

Before I moved in with my husband my diet was different. I didn't have much access to fast food and I know for a fact that my mom cooked as healthy as she could because we spent a lot of time at healthy stores, like Sprouts, Trader Joes, and other organic stores like that. She wasn't scared to try new food, oh how I miss her food. Anyway, after I moved in with my husband that all changed. I am not saying that I don't like the food here or anything, but the diet is different. For as long as I have been here there is always sweet bread at home, if there isn't we have to bring some home.

My mother in law cooks once in a while but the food available to cook isn't always chicken, it is usually red meat and food like that. I don't make that much money so it is a little impossible to buy the types of food that I wish to cook. I mean I do buy my own groceries in a while but I can't buy my stuff at all times. One of my favorite things to cook is by the way, baked chicken.

The point of this post though is that I have made a deal with myself that I am going to try really hard to go back to the weight I was before I moved in. I am going to try to find ways to eat healthier and have a healthier lifestyle
, I know that is going to be a hard thing to do but I know there are little things that I can change and they would make a difference for sure. For example, my husband and I have been going to the gym for a while now and I am sure that doing that helps with our weight. If any of you are interested I will list the little things I have been trying to change and the things I will start doing to begin my healthier lifestyle.

The things I have been doing to try to be healthier:
  • I stopped drinking any soda, only water. If I want to drink something other than water I use flavor drops or make flavored water. (I try to drink at least 2 of the smart water containers of water)
  • I have stopped eating chips, chocolate bars, and candy. If I am craving something sweet I eat some fruit.
  • For the last couple of weeks as soon as I wake up I do about 15 minutes of exercise, targeting the parts of my body I want to work on. (I do this besides the gym)
  • Going to the gym for an hour to two hours a day, at least 3 days a week.
  • Smoothies. I have been loving to make smoothies. Right now I have been really liking strawberry banana smoothies.
  • Instead of having cereal or bread for breakfast I have been trying to eat oatmeal instead.

The way I have been keeping myself motivated is the clothes. I want to go on a shopping spree, but I don't want to do it until I have lost the amount of weight I want to lose. For now I have been saving money and hopefully I will lose enough weight for the summer.

Good luck to you and good luck to me!
Andy

The Scary and the Supernatural

Ever since I was in middle school I have loved to write research papers. So I figured out I would write about things that intrigue me once in a while and do research. Like today I decided to research something a little bit more scary. The back ground of Supernatural.

I am sure at least one of the people that will read this post know what the show Supernatural is. I always wondered if what went on in the show had some sort of truth or original folklore. So I decided to research some of it. In this TV Show they talk about so many Supernatural things, Angels and Demons as well. I know there much history revolving around those two subjects so I figured that there has to be original folklore to all of the other things that they speak of. I mean, honestly I don't think they came up with all of those things out of the blue.

What I first encountered when I begun my research was that all of the stories that are used in the TV show have some sort of history and the show plainly just elaborates on the existing story behind the actual monsters that they are hunting. Many of the monsters they hunt are part of the folklore of different cultures and countries.

Demons
According to Supernatural: Demons are supernatural beings that were created by Lucifer after he fell from heaven. They are able to walk with humans and possess a human body with no difficulty. They are exorcised by Dean and Sam multiple times and can only be killed with specific weapons(The colt). Demons have rankings and some of them are more powerful than others.
History(AKA:Wikipedia): A demon is a spiritual entity that can be conjured and sometimes possibly controlled. These entities can possess a human body and can only leave after an exorcism. First time demons were mentioned in history was by Plato. They are feared because of the believe that they are able to possess living things.

Djin
According to Supernatural: A monster who can grant your wishes by plainly reading your mind. However, it isn't a good type of wish granting, this creature is evil and grants
History (Not wiki): Djinn are supernatural creatures from Islamic Mythology, and pre-Islamic Arabian Mythology. It is believed that they live in an unseen world or a parallel dimension. They are creatures that own free will and they can be evil, good or neutral. This creature is a creature that can resemble a common known Genie. Djinn are called up by people. However, during my research it was hard to come upon something that said that they grant wishes, just that they are genies.

Reapers
According to Supernatural: A reaper is a spirit who comes to take you away once it is your time to pass away. Once they are there to take you with them there is no way of stopping them unless you make a deal (For example with a crossroad demon). Spirits who refuse to go with the reaper become angry spirits.
History: Most commonly known as Grim Reapers, or Death. Since the 15th century Death has been described as a skeletal figure  carrying a scythe. Death shows up when your time is up and it is believed that he can sometimes cause death before it is your time. During my search I also saw that when people speak of the Grim Reaper, it is referred to it as just one.

Ghosts
Supernatural: Ghosts are unrestful spirits that are either confused or angry at their deaths. Sometimes they don't understand that they are dead. In multiple times, they sometimes re live their deaths, they are caught in a never ending loop of their death. The only way to kill a ghost is to salt their bones and burn them.
History: A spirit of a dead living creature that can appear or manifest themselves to the living. Ghosts are usually described as spirits that attach themselves to certain locations or people. Ghosts aren't just evil, sometimes ghosts can be confused and might not even realize that they have died. However, many times ghosts will become angry and become mischievous and even evil.

I am going to cut off this post here because I can keep going and it would just became an essay. If you guys want me to write more things like these let me know! I actually enjoyed writing this one. I am sure I can take requests and do a little research on things you guys want me to do.

Have a nice weekend guys,
Andy

Viva Box Blog Review

I am starting to realize that I am not really that good at making reviews. I honestly kind of suck, but it is okay. Here I go once again.

Today I am going to review the Viva Box  that I received for testing and honestly and very truly I have enjoyed it very much. I don´t know what is was about all the products there, they were just great. I am sure I will purchase all of them after I am done using the ones that I received.

The one product that I have been using everyday with no miss is the Vaseline: Spray & Go. It is an amazing moisturizer and I love how convenient it is and how easy it is to use. I got mine in Cocoa scent. I have never been a fan of cocoa scents in lotions but this one it is just perfect. I love the fact that I can easily apply it and how fast it absorbs into the skin. I have just enjoyed it very much. Even since before I love Vaseline products because they really do the job.

The second product that I have been using very constantly, like every single day I wear make up I have to pair it with this. NYC New York Color City Proof Twistable Intense Lip Color, sorry that is a mouthful, but that lip color is just amazing. I put it on at noon in the day and it will last all day throughout the meals, kissing of my husband, etc. I do have to admit the color won't be as intense as it was when you first applied it but it will last. You will probably only have to reapply it once, twice at the most. So if you are looking for a lip stick that will last you throughout the day that is the way to go.

I also received two nail polishes by ICE. I had never heard of this brand but it shocked me. I expected it to be like other drugstore nail polishes. However, it lasted quite a while and it didn't start to chip off until a week after I first applied it. I don't know what you guys think but I think that is really good for a nail polish, I mean for not having applied top coat or base coat, I feel like it lasted a while. It probably would have lasted longer if it weren't for the fact that I wash dishes, do laundry and other things like that throughout the day. Oh! Also, it works awesome to create the jelly sandwich effect on your nails with the glitter polish. No one would ever know that it was two separate nail polishes.

I also got the Montagne Mask on the Viva box, I already wrote a blog on that you guys can check it out here: Montagne Jeunesse. I already mentioned that I loved that so you guys can read all about that.

So there you guys have it, I am actually surprised that I enjoyed all of the products because last time I got a box I didn't enjoy the products as much as I did this time. However, I am encouraged to continue to test the products that influenster sends me because honestly they have been great!

Thanks for reading,
Andy

Disclaimer: I received these products complimentary for testing and review purposes from Influenster

Why are teenagers so attracted to the social media?

This thought literally come to mind last night. I thought about it too much though because this might end up being a rant on video or maybe not because I am so attracted to the social media.

I have to say that when I was in high school, social media was a must have. Everyone was on Myspace, that is the first thing I remember. I also remember how strict my parents were about that. I had to make a Myspace profile behind their backs and be so careful that they didn't catch me on it because that would be the end of me! Anyway, after Myspace passed along, with a good life if I dare to add, Facebook came along!

I had to check my Facebook at least once a day because if I didn't I would die! Since I got out of high
school and into life, I don't stress over it as much as I did before. I mean, I am not going to be a hypocrite and say that I am not a Facebook fan because I am and I still check it often. Not as often as I did when I was in high school but often enough. Also, I am not attracted to it for the same reasons I wanted to be on Facebook before. For example, back then I wanted to be on Facebook so I could be on contact with my friends and my boyfriend. I also liked to see what was going on with other people. Don't lie because you do that too!

Now, it is different. I use my Facebook to talk to my mom mostly. I erased many people that I had added when I was in high school because I found no point to having random people that I had never spoken to on my high school years. Why have those people there, I mean before I could make an argument that I might need some homework, or to find out special school event dates. However, I would for sure not make that argument after I graduated. Eventually, if anything, I will start adding former co workers or classmates from college, but eventually those friendships will shatter as well because only some of them last.

Back to my point, I think that kids now a days are attracted to the social media because it is a thing that everyone has. I mean, Instagram! I love it, I am not going to lie because that is one thing I do love to check everyday because some pictures are amazing. However, instagram is not like facebook. There isn't a lot of personal interactions other than the commenting and liking of pictures. Facebook gets more personal and people kind of humiliate each other there. I suppose we
can say that Facebook looks like it is going to have a pretty long life. I am not sure whether I made the point I was trying to say.... Hmm.. People want to be on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, because that is the thing to do nowadays. You could probably find just about anyone on those sites, unless they blocked you or they don't own a computer....

So yea, keep on playing around on those social medias my friends, I know I will,
Andy

I am on the social medias too! Check it out:

My journey trying to jump start my business

Some of you guys may or may not know about how I make candles. I started this about a year ago, shortly after I moved in with my husband when we were just dating. One day, I just realized that I wanted to make candles, it started as a silly idea but it grew slowly. I commented this to my husband and he insisted that I start selling them. I told him about my logo idea and together we came up with a name. Crazy how things are born in an instant.

Slowly, we started buying the supplies that I needed to start making the candles on my own. I found a great website and bought myself enough supplies to make about 16 candles. I made them and then slowly sold them. With the money we made from that, we decided to buy even more supplies to get more candles going and spread the word and that is how the business got started.

At the beginning of this year I had so many things going on. I was about to get married. My mom was fighting for the well being of my little sister, I was worried about my former dog, and so on. Point is I had so many worries that I completely brushed aside my candles. I stopped selling them and I stopped researching on how to get the legal things straight. I was disappointed on myself. It really sucked and a couple of weeks ago, when I decided I wanted to get back on track I found out that I would have to start from scratch. Start making more investments, start buying more supplies and continue to sell, technically from door to door with my family.

Honestly, I do see myself owning this business. It is not the fact that it is just a business in general but the fact that I love making candles, and I see myself growing old with this obsession. I know it is kind of weird and you probably want to click away from this page as you read this but if you got this far continue on. I know everyone has a passion, something they see themselves doing for the rest of their lives because I know for a fact that I want to work and do something that I love and that I enjoy. For me that is the art of candle making.

One day you will see me working from home and selling hundreds of candles a day.....

Watch me go,
Andy

Don't fall under a routine and have fun!

I have finally started to get in the routine of the schedule I created for the blog... I however, realized that I have trouble on Tuesdays. It has become harder to write about what is going on in my life and that is what I mostly wrote about before. Plainly and simply about my life. I don´t understand why it has become harder than before.

I will try my hardest to be able to write more about my life though because that is the reason why I love my blog, because it works somewhat like a diary for me. I have been able to go back and read about what I was doing 3 years ago and it is amazing to read my posts from back then. It is like time traveling! I think I have made that example before.

So, my life huh? Hmmm..... You guys already know that I am married. This past weekend we went to the beach because I told my father in law that my parents didn't really take out my little sister and I. Well honestly, I feel like we didn't do much sightseeing when I was young. I am sure my little sister feels the same. With my dad it was always hanging out with his brothers, going to the park and "carne asadas" at home. That was pretty much it all of the time. If anything changed ever it was just parties at some of our relatives homes. I know that I can't say that he never took us out at all, because we went out once in a while. He just took that really literally, if we went to the beach, it was probably once a year in a summer and he wouldn't take us again because we went already, "why do we have to go again, we already went." Those were his words. Crazy huh?

Here with my in laws I have probably seen many more pretty sights in the two years I have been living here than the sights I saw living with my dad my whole life. I went to San Francisco for our honey moon, that was amazing. I never thought I would see San Francisco. I have been to the beach over 15 times! My in laws really like hanging out at the beach. Oh, and last weekend we went to a really nice beach that I had never been too before. We went to the rocky side of the beach and we scavenged for crabs, something that I had never done before. I was not dressed for that occasion with jeans and a nice dress blouse but it was so much fun.. I saw a bunch of crabs, and we "rock climbed" over the sharp rocks. We found, well my father in law found a cool crab in the water that looked kind of like the green letters from the Matrix. Ha! I was amazed, I also apparently stepped on bat poop... There was this dark stuff on my foot and it looked like blood at first but then Manny told me it was bat poop. I hope they didn't lie to me about it. Anyway, that was a fun weekend.

I guess the point that ends up coming from this story telling is that sometimes, even if you have all the resources to do fun things, you end up falling under a routine and doing the same thing over and over. I know because that is what happened when I was living with my parents. I don't know if it is because my dad was so focused on one routine or he just didn't love us enough to want to show us around and allowing us to have a cool life. If you know that you can have fun with your life, go out and live. Do things that you might not be able to do when you are older. I know for a fact that I am going to try to have the most fun in my life before I decide to bring a child into the world because after that happens that is when I won't be able to have fun for myself.

So there you guys have it, a little personal post today... Just because it is Tuesday... Have fun guys,
Andy

Instructions not Included review

A couple of days ago I watched this movie. For those of you who have not heard of it, it is a movie that was directed and partially produced by a really famous Hispanic Comedian whose name is Eugenio Derbez. All of you Hispanic people that are reading this know who he is. Of course you do! Fun fact, Eugenio Derbez was 'Donkey's' voice in Shrek when the movie was translated to Spanish.

Anyway, Eugenio Derbez was also in the movie Under the Same Moon and if I am not mistaken he partially produced that one as well. The thing with Instructions not Included though, was that this movie premiered in US movie theaters and it was half in Spanish and half in English. Does that make sense? Well what I am trying to say is that there were sections of the movie spoken mostly in English and other parts in Spanish.

Back to the actual plot of this movie. This movie is about a man, Valentin, that lives in Acapulco (Eugenio Derbez). He spends most of his time seducing and sleeping with tourists that happen to come by to Acapulco. Soon he finds a woman from the US, Julie, and well he wastes no time to seduce her as well. Before you know it he has jumped to his next tourist. Twenty months after he had 'hooked' up with Julie, she shows up at his doorstep with a baby and claims that the baby is the product from the hook up they had 20 months ago. She tricks Valentin into keeping the baby and then she takes off back to the US. The movie then follows Valentin on his trip to the US to return the baby back to her mother but eventually he falls in love with the little girl and the movie then starts. That is as far as I will tell you because for you to get the true gist you must watch it. It really captures the essence of a loving father and the struggles that happen everyday without us being aware of them.

Warning: This movie made me cry, however, many other movies have made me cry before... But truthfully it is a movie worth watching. If you do get the chance, the movie is now on Netflix so if you have Netflix please check it out. It is a movie worth watching. Specially if you watch it with you family.

Have a wonderful Monday my friends,
Andy :)

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there

In the past couple of years that I have been in a relationship and now married, there has been so many times when my husband and I talked about having kids. The thought of becoming a mother lingers in my mind to this day. Not that any of you might care, or maybe it is too much information but I am on birth control because I don't want to have a baby anytime soon. However, I have had conversations with my husband about what would happen if we were to have kids and this is were I give props to every mother out there, including my own.

When I was thinking about having a baby I thought about all the new foreign responsibilities that would come up. All the things that would have to change in order for us to be fit to take care of our child. All the sacrifices that we would have to make.... I realized that my mom gave up all of those things I still refuse to give up, my mom made all of those sacrifices that I refuse to make. She gave up a life of freedom to take care of her two daughters. Her life stopped being about her and became completely ours. She gave up her life for her children. I respect that so much... She was just 18 when she had me, and I am 20 and I am still refusing to have a baby.

So for all the mothers out there, I say happy mother's day... but everyday is mother's day, because mothers aren't just mothers one day of the year, they are mothers year round, 24/7, for their whole life after having their child. Even after their kids no longer live with them, they are still mothers because they will think of their kids all the time even after they no longer live together. I figured all of this out the minute that my husband and I started thinking about having a baby... When I am a mother I know all of these things will happen and for me to be able to have a baby, I have to be prepared to do all of these things. For the meanwhile, I will salute my mother and all of the mothers out there who don't hear this too often:
My mom, sister and me when we were just kids.
You are an amazing woman, congratulations on what you have achieved in life because I know it is hard to achieve things in life with kids, if anything at all. So, don't let anyone tell you otherwise, you are amazing and I salute you because you are a brave an intelligent woman. Your children mean this and they love you dearly. I am pretty sure :)

Happy Mother's Day,
Andy

PS. I love you mom, thank you for raising us and loving us the way you do. I miss you and I wish I could be with you to wish you happy mother's day and happy birthday :)

Manny's Blog Day - Our candle business

Our Candle Business

HOME MADE CANDLES
Well, once again it is my turn to post something up. I know Andy had said I would post something every Friday and I know I have not posted anything since, it has been because I have been busy. I don't have a lot to talk about so I am going to talk about a business idea Andy and I have been working on for a while. Some of you already know about this but now I'm putting it out there.

We have been working to start our own business for a long time but because we both have been very busy with other lively tasks we haven't been able to work on it. As of today, we are restarting and hopefully it grows and grows. Andy and I have been trying to jump start a candle business. Since Andy likes homemade candles and knows how to make them, we thought to sell them but up until now we have had little success due to the fact that none of us has been able to put a lot of time to it. However, like I mentioned earlier we are giving it a second chance and going for it again, before you know it, soon you might see us advertising our candles here or there throughout the social medias. For now its just a concept and its on development, in a way. Like I said, soon u might see us selling candles. I will keep you posted on how our project is progressing and soon enough we will give you the news but for now you'll have to wait for further posts by Manny.

Once you have a tattoo it is not so hard to get another one

Last night I had a funky dream and I have to get it out it there because if I don't I will forget everything about it. I also have a few thoughts about it.

I dreamt that I went to the salon to dye my hair blue. My mom was there with me and it was late in the afternoon. She decided that to support me she would get her hair dyed too. So she dyed it red. Then she got a tattoo!!!  :o I know... Crazy, I freaked out, but then I decided to get another tattoo ass well, other than the one I already have. You guys might have read about it in my post I got a tattoo yesterday.

Anyway, I got a tattoo of a cross on the back of my neck, it was blue. At the moment, when I was about to decided whether I wanted it or not one thought came through my mind: I already have one tattoo, it doesn't make a difference whether I have another one. Does it? That is the reason why in my dream I got another tattoo, maybe the fact that my mom was there along side with me also changes the fact, since she got one it gave me the idea that it was okay.

Honestly, I think that if that scenario were to happen in real life, I would probably end up actually getting another tattoo. Not necessarily the one I got in my dream, but just another one and it would be really easy to make the decision once I am there. Unlike the very first time, when it took me almost three years to decided whether I actually wanted that tattoo or not. By the way, I think that first tattoo on my body will mean the most if I ever were to get any more tattoos...

Well anyway, have a nice day everyone :)

Haunted Mirror - Chapter 1

I wrote this story many years ago....... So don't judge :) Hope you like it
---------
Haunted Mirror - Chapter 1
Short and skinny, Alice lacked the blue eyes that ran in the family. With hazel eyes and dark brown hair she didn't look much like her parents. She was the only child in her family and she felt like she was a vital role in her small household. Her parents, both with desk jobs, she found boring. Alice always wanted to have fun.
"Allie! We are leaving, are you ready?" a woman screamed from the bottom floor of her house.
"I'm almost done mom!" Allie answered, she was packing her essential things in her bag. Notebook, homework, three fairy books, and of course the lucky amulet her grandma had given her when she was younger. She was about to be dropped off at her grandmother's house for a couple of weeks since her parents were going on an important business trip.
She really loved to spend time with her grandma. She would always be telling stories about her old creaky house. Allie, with the wide imagination she carried, believed all of them, she was just waiting for the minute that she could prove it to her parents. Her parents thought that this was just a stage and that in a couple of years she wouldn't believe in these any longer.
Grandma would tell her stories about monsters, fairies, elves and fantasy, but these stories weren't her imagination. Allie was sure that there was something beyond her, something, at least one thing had to be true from all of those stories.
It wasn't a long drive to her grandma's house and as soon as she got there she ran and greeted her grandmother. Allie ran into the house to drop off her belongings and her grandmother stayed outside speaking to her parents. Allie's room was on the second floor and when she looked out the window she saw her parents rushing to the car and leaving really quickly. Allie become very sad that they didn't wait for her to say goodbye like always. She dismissed the thought, they were probably late.
When Allie started going down the stairs she found her grandmother. "Honey, I was about to go get you," she mumbled. "Story time?"
"Yes!!" Allie ran with excitement to their usual spot.
Allie took her seat on the couch were they always talked and her grandma quickly followed. She sat down and started her story telling.
"Allie, this story is very special. I want you to listen very carefully," her grandmother said. It was a different tone, she didn't sound like she usually did when she was telling stories. "There is a mirror, a very special mirror. Do you want to know why it was so special?" her grandmother asked her.
Allie nodded her head really quickly, she was anxious to know.
"Very well, this mirror has magic inside of it, powerful magic. I went to see it one day and when I saw my reflection I panicked," her grandmother shivered and stopped speaking.
     "Are you okay grandma?"
-------------

I decided that is all that I am going to write from this story... If you guys want to read more let me know and I'll post the chapter after this:)

Did you guys know that I like to write fiction?

Ever since I was in middle school I have been writing short stories. I recently found a flash drive full of them and I figured something out. I can post them up on here little by little to see what type of feedback I get on them. I haven't shared these stories with too many people, there is only a handful that has read them. So I decided that you guys can read them now. I will post one up shortly after this post.

Excited,
Andy

Your sister is always going to be there for you

It is funny how many times I actually go back and re-read my old posts. It is like going back on a time machine and talking to my younger self.

My little sister just started her own blog and she wrote some nice things. (Check it out right here minivized) Ever since she can remember I have been writing on my blog and now, she is at the age that I was when I started writing. I am happy to know that she is writing and finding a sense of self that way. I want this post to be about her.
You know, after I moved out, I left her behind. I never realized how big of an impact that had on her life. I should have been more considerate, I mean I though about it so many times, about how I missed her and that I had to see her more often. It affected her in a bigger way than most of the things I had been through.

Now that she is moving away with my mom I stop and think about how I am not going to see her at all... I am not going to be able to say that I want to bring her over to my house.. I am not going to be able to invite her to have dinner with me. I won't be able to go over to see how she is doing. She is my little sister and I want to spend as much time as I can with her. It bothers me that I won't be able to see her and that brings me to tell you that you have to value your family and never take them for granted. They are there today and you never know if they will be there for you tomorrow. Don't get caught up on the little things that bother you and make sure you are always there for them because they need you in their lives too and you might never realize the meaning that you have to them or how much they value you..

It took me so long to get this post out there, because I couldn't find the way to tell you guys about this in just any way. My little sister means the world to me. She has known me her whole life and I have known her for most of my life. It is so hard just to write without wanting to stop and cry my heart out because this means too much in my heart and I am afraid that this post is just becoming a bag full of emotions instead of what I want to portray. To tell you guys that if you have siblings to love them even for the bad things they do, even if you think that they are the most annoying thing in life... But one day you are going to sit back and think of all the memories that you have of them and you are going to understand everything I am writing because they won't be there then. There is going to be a day where you guys are going to be separated and you are going to miss the days when you saw them every single day of the week. I know that is what I miss. I miss messing around with my sister, making the silly movies we made. I miss having her around to play video games, I miss talking to her at night and there are a million other things that I used to do with her that I can't anymore... Makes me wish we had more time to spend together...
Little sister, I love you, always remember and never forget!
With love,
Andy

Montagne Jeunesse Manuka Honey Peel Off

For those of you that don't like beauty stuff and skincare things you should stop reading because this is a review for a beauty mask! Now, if you are interested, keep reading this.

The other day I tried out this peel mask. I had heard of them before but hadn't actually tried any. The brand that I tried is called Montagne Jeunesse. The mask I tried on was the Honey Peel Off, I do have to tell you though, have you ever used the peel off nose strips? I know  I am obsessed with those, they just make my nose feel so clean after I used them. Well anyway, this mask is like a giant nose strip for you face.

How I used it: The consistency of he mask is just like honey, off the bat you can tell this is actual honey that you are applying.
I just applied a layer of the mask on my face and gave it about 20 minutes to dry, just like a nose strip. I started to feel tingly sensation on my skin after less than 5 minutes of me wearing it. That's how I knew the mask was working. Did I happen to mention the amazing smell?? I believe that the mask had honey and Jasmine on it so it smelled amazing and it has this relaxing feel to it. That is how I imagine it would feel if I was at the Spa.

Point is, I really liked this mask and I am for sure going to keep on using it. It just left my skin feeling so nice. I want to feel like that again already.

Check out their website here Montagne Jeunesse website. If you guys want to try this mask it is sold at Wal-mart and Ulta and I believe it is $1.99 per mask.

So if you ladies are wanting to try something new, check this out, you won't regret it,
Andy :)
