Instructions not Included review

A couple of days ago I watched this movie. For those of you who have not heard of it, it is a movie that was directed and partially produced by a really famous Hispanic Comedian whose name is Eugenio Derbez. All of you Hispanic people that are reading this know who he is. Of course you do! Fun fact, Eugenio Derbez was 'Donkey's' voice in Shrek when the movie was translated to Spanish.

Anyway, Eugenio Derbez was also in the movie Under the Same Moon and if I am not mistaken he partially produced that one as well. The thing with Instructions not Included though, was that this movie premiered in US movie theaters and it was half in Spanish and half in English. Does that make sense? Well what I am trying to say is that there were sections of the movie spoken mostly in English and other parts in Spanish.

Back to the actual plot of this movie. This movie is about a man, Valentin, that lives in Acapulco (Eugenio Derbez). He spends most of his time seducing and sleeping with tourists that happen to come by to Acapulco. Soon he finds a woman from the US, Julie, and well he wastes no time to seduce her as well. Before you know it he has jumped to his next tourist. Twenty months after he had 'hooked' up with Julie, she shows up at his doorstep with a baby and claims that the baby is the product from the hook up they had 20 months ago. She tricks Valentin into keeping the baby and then she takes off back to the US. The movie then follows Valentin on his trip to the US to return the baby back to her mother but eventually he falls in love with the little girl and the movie then starts. That is as far as I will tell you because for you to get the true gist you must watch it. It really captures the essence of a loving father and the struggles that happen everyday without us being aware of them.

Warning: This movie made me cry, however, many other movies have made me cry before... But truthfully it is a movie worth watching. If you do get the chance, the movie is now on Netflix so if you have Netflix please check it out. It is a movie worth watching. Specially if you watch it with you family.

Have a wonderful Monday my friends,
Andy :)
