K-Pop (CNBLUE)

I just very recently discovered K-pop, thanks to my friend who introduced me to it a couple days ago and oh, I've fallen in love.. lol... again...

Well, it all started when we were discussing ideas for the school newspaper. She said that it would be cool if we did an article on foreign music. I told her that it sounded like a great idea. Then she asked me if I had ever listened to K-pop, and I told her that not really. So then she started telling me many, many, many band names or singers and titles of songs. I thought, well I should listen to them, I've got nothing to lose. So, I went ahead and downloaded many songs. Some of the bands she told me about were:
CN Blue (which I love, specially a song called Love MV), big bang, 2ne, 1snsd, b2st, 2pm and shinee.

Sadly, I haven't had time to listen to most of them. However, I am in the process, and so far, I have already started to love CN Blue, and it was just the first I listened to. So, I really don't doubt that I will like the rest of them as well. :)
For now, I will listen to CN Blue <3

Things people do while driving....

Today while I was on the bus, I looked out the window and started noticing the things people do while driving. You probably already know this, because either you've seen it or do it yourself.

So, by the end of my very enjoyable bus trip, which reminds me, they transferred our bus today(weird),  I concluded the top 3 things that people do (according to me):
  1. Text - I saw way too many people texting, I should have known
  2. Eat or drink - Many had some kind of drink or food in their hands
  3. I saw many girls doing this, you might as well guess, Make-up - I suppose they were running late
So, it is my guess, but sometimes people do stupid things behind the wheel. I mean, if your going to drive,  might as well try to drive right.Oh well, I guess people really don't like to follow rules. Then they wonder.. why do accidents happen?... ugh..

I also looked up online what people do while driving, and I found the most bizarre things. I mean real bizarre: People shaving, reading, changing clothes, there was something about kissing and making out too... okaaay.....

What else can people do?!

Nerdy?? If u say so ^o^

Back to school, but more importantly back to Journalism!! Oh, and I must not forget, back to the book club. That is talking about myself, lol, I shouldn't be so selfish. ^o^

So, I think that my Journalism class is going rather well. First of all, because we got right into reporting this year, and because everything seems more serious than last year. I don't know why, but it just seems that way to me, maybe because there is more people. However, that is okay, because it just means that the class will be more fun and we'd be better working on the paper. More articles. :)

Though, enough of that, and moving to another nerdy subject. The Bookclub!! :) Today we had a meeting and I was so happy to be back. Really, even though, nothing really happened, we just discussed the events of this year. So I guess that's that. Am I boring you yet?? lol.. oh well, I guess I just needed to write today, because I haven't gotten a lot of homework lately, that just means I have a lot of free time. Oh, and I couldn't find anything else to write about. So, there you have it. Though, I promise I will find more interesting topics to write about. :)

My little sister, and her ways.... *Sigh* (The things about divorce)

The other day I was talking to my mom, just about random things, when she started talking about my sister. I thought it was nothing important, but that was before I actually listened.

Apparently, my mom had a very serious conversation with my sister. My mom told her, or somehow tried to explain what would happen if she and my dad got a divorce. She said that she explained the whole "We can't be together anymore" thing. My sister didn't say anything, and listened, but my mom said that at one point my sister got really frustrated with her. She started telling her that if they got a divorce she would kill herself. That she wouldn't take it. So, from this I got many things, because my parents have talked to me about divorce before, and I always thought about that one option, but never told anyone about it, instead I kept it inside. Besides, it wasn't like I would ever do it, unless things went really bad.

Anyway, my little sister actually told them how she felt, and I believe that it was her who got them to stay together. Just because of that little threat, when in reality, she's told me that if they get divorced, she'd come and live with me (When I'm over 18).

Divorce is a really hard thing to go through, but I don't think it should cause anyone to take such drastic measures. It happens to many people, who have every right to go for that, the problem comes when the only thing keeping a couple together in a relationship is their kids. I mean if there is no love, what is there? Nothing, because love is what keeps a family together. Don't you think? Yeah, the kids are important, I get that, but they'll get through it eventually. On the other side, how can a married couple raise a happy family when they can't even stand each other or get along.

That's just my point of view. I know for a fact, that parents that are constantly fighting and making life harder without admitting that they don't love each other anymore are harder to bare than parents not living together. I've lived like this for the last few years, and I am telling you it hurts a lot more to have to listen to all those fights and arguments than it would to just watch them split up. If it had been up to me, I'd been thankful if my parents had gotten a divorce a long time ago. Or if they could just fix their problems and make life easier for us, that would have been the best thing ever.

I'll just have to keep living with it,

911

So, I am the kind of person who won't notice the date unless told. That kinda means that I usually don't know what day it is.Like today, I didn't realize that today was September 11 until I checked the date on my cell phone. Funny in a sense, huh? Well, when I realized, I made sure that my sister and I had a minute of silence because today was a very important day and 9 years ago many people died.

All this just reminded me of the day when this happened.I don't really remember much, but its enough. When this happened my dad took hours to come back home, because we lived in TJ and the border was soaring with traffic. At least that's what my mom told me. I also remember everyone freaking out and everything in havoc. My mom was worried because her mom lived in New York at the time, and they didn't really have a connection so there was no way to find out if she was okay. (A couple months after we heard from her though). This situation took everyone in surprise, and caused a lot of damage. That is why it is important, because it made history, and changed the way we all live today.

So, I guess that's all I got to say,

Risking it...

So, as I was sitting on the bus this afternoon on the way home from school, I wondered. It might have been something silly, but I thought, has there ever been a big bus accident, well in my area. Though, I really doubt it. That is why I decided to search about it, but most of the accident stories I found didn't happen to city buses, at least in California. Most of them involved tour buses, greyhounds, etc. However, I am pretty sure there have been accidents of that type. I just either didn't search right, or too lazy to keep looking. lol. I have a point though, with this whole story.

I thought this was an interesting topic because it just means that there can be an accident any day. It also made me realize that we are not safe anywhere, not in our house, not in school, not anywhere. The only thing that changes is that we are in slightly more danger in some places than others. I think that we should risk it though, who cares if your in danger, I mean, that is the only way to see the world. Right? It's not that I am encouraging the fact that one should go out there and do anything and/or everything, but that once in a while its okay to be at risk.

'Till next time,
Annie♥
